I hope to get our team in, but I don't think we will do well at all.

Well, at first I was going to use 45kgs, but when I realized I would still have leftover weight that I thought could only be used for extenders I decided to upgrade to 50kgs.  Besides, Naryar did say to keep extender work to a minimum if possible, and they're not going to get hit unless it gets stopped.

As some of you may have noticed, it's my 16th birthday, but I feel like giving you guys something instead, even if it is small:

A week or two ago, I was thinking of ways that I could make my [generic] LW SnS better, and this is what I came up with.  Same stats as the last version, 247.8 kgs.  The carbon fiber extenders may seem weak, but since they don't get hit often, it's not a big deal.

Probably because it's my 16th birthday!  Yay!

Sadly, that pic's not mine.  I just found it somewhere XD.

Maces are not really good for rammers
Wouldn't be able to beat Absolute Chaos without em  :approve: .  It also tends to handle other rammers very well.

Yes, TriTon, your post was veeeerrrrryyyyyy constructive.

Anyway, it looks to slow for me.  You could probably get stronger motors by removing some batteries (spin motors need only about 1 ant battery each to work; for this bot, I would suggest 5).

The bottom armor is cool, but the top, front, and rear armor seems lacking.  Instead, I would recommend a couple of side panels or skirts.

Whoa I actually won something!

I guess this is revenge for my popup getting beaten by yours, Pwn.  You were still a bit lucky, but my wedges were still better :P.

Anyway, good tournament, guys!  (if you could call it that.)

Yeah, I was wondering about that.  Did Man manu forget to wire the srimech on his popup?

And that hazard KO was cool!

Well, I don't know if you would really want one.  It's hardly been tested.

A while back, I felt like making a HW shell spinner with just a 100cm disk...

...just for the heck of it.

  • NPCFs w/ Hypnos
  • 3 ants (I probably should put more)
  • 20 Iron spikes, 4 Heavy DS teeth on a 6-Mag
  • Armor: 5mm plastic, 2 halfsheets, and 2 40cm plastic sheets
The flails are obviously angled in a way that allows them to perform better against wedges, and it does that job rather well.  If I knew how to AI with FBSPlus, then I could see its full potential.

You mean something like this?:

If so, then I think I owe you something, Sage.

But now it doesn't perform as well against HSs :( .  At least now, it can beat some bots that it usually doesn't beat.  In fact, it's been able to do this several times:

Actually happens most of the time while facing it.  >:)

Other than the fact that I, as well as some others, have built something like that already, it looks good.

I'm worried about the reach, though.  I bet it would be better with a smaller, but more durable disc and longer weapon arms.  Speaking of which, you might want to swap out those weapon extenders for something else, like DSL bars.

It looks really awesome!

Probably, if you added some sort of trapping mechanism that doesn't take up too much weight or your ability to run upside-down, you can use the weight for more armor, and maybe better wheels.

I would if I could.

That was the only setup that would allow me to have an orthodox weapon setup.  Any other and I wouldn't be able to put as many weapons on.

Besides, the wide profile is one of the reasons it's so effective against HSs, and as it turns out, the gap is not that much of a problem.  Thanks for your words, though.
