Dang, I thought this would fill up fast.

After building my bot... I can say it was a lot harder than I thought it would be.  It is a bit challenging.

Guess we got to harass some of the new members... What happened to that Wolf dude that joined when all the other tourneys filled up? I forget his name.

Edit: He just popped on!  PM bombed.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but what is a tech adviser, what does it mean on these forums?

Tech advisers are the absolute brains of the forum.  They understand all that coding voodoo and partake in binary-talk witchcraft.

It is really only a matter of hours time before you become one as well.

Ribbs has the tendency to disappear at inopportune times.

I give the win to Vertigo by default.

I used Wegame for TTT. And that worked. It saved all the vids for me as avi's.

Oh, I stand corrected then.  :D  Now I know... and I wont forget (until the weekend drinking comes, then all bets are off).

Youtube.

I don't think WeGame can export files that are useable anywhere else.

When it is all said and done we are voting for the songs not the members.

If we have to we can start a Gametechmodspopularitycontest 2011 - Voting thread.

I care.  But, I have been too busy to give it much thought.  It occurred to me that it takes a ton of brainpower to think back and remember the bots that really stand out from the crowd.

Edit: Oh... and one of your minions just paid me a visit while I was typing this... Trying to pursuade me huh?

I don't think so, the wheels are VERY safe from threats now, and just wait until I finished the snapper loading a bit.

In a battle... losing one wheel vs having the heart of your robot destroyed (the chassis) will give you more of a fighting chance.

I know that it does not correspond with real life logic (RA2 for yah) But, having the wheels take damage first is more productive in this case.

I really hate the current trend of color pallets consisting only of brown, gunmetal, and lens flare. Video games are a visual medium. Excite my eyes with some color!

Yeah, please swap out the t connectors for regular extenders and use the side attachment points.

Make them red too... for Sage.

Discussion / Re: One wheeled bots, should they be banned?
« on: June 08, 2011, 09:13:08 PM »
I voted No. I am not a big fan of banning bots.

However, because tournaments are AI driven in RA2... The part that irks me about 1 wheeled bots is that the opposing AI drives straight into a spinning vortex of razors.  No strategy to be had usually.  At least against a Melty Brain bot IRL you can use a bit of driving skill to defeat it.  In RA2... the AI has limitations... so having a one wheeled bot in some cases is a cheap exploitation of the opponents bot AI.

EDIT: hahahahah... i based my vote on the question for the topic header... not the question in the poll. (which are opposite questions) Sneaky Ribbsy... you tricked me.
