For weapons that also function well as useful items, I might also add the Hookshot (From The Legend of Zelda games), and the Ice Beam from Metroid.

I like the design of this bot:
I'm inclined to agree- I haven't really seen many sawblades that effective since Pussycat
Where the **** have you been?
Also that isn't a sawblade anyway.
Just hanging around. As for the bit on sawblades I assumed it was, since I didn't see any big teeth or anything on the disc, and when it connected, it make noises more like grinding or cutting rather than delivering big individual hits like most VSes do.
I meant the other one.
Aaaah, OK. The one that got its wheel chopped off?

Been a long time since I've started a thread, but here's an idea I've had. What would you consider to be your favourite weapons/items in games, and why? I'll start us off with a few good examples-
The Cereberal Bore, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil
The BFG 9000, Doom
The Screw Attack, Metroid
Discuss!

Two hours, W... O... O...
They've been very naughty boys haven't they, Mr Flibble?
*Shrill* Yes Uncle Arnie.
And what happens to naughty boys who've been naughty, Mr Flibble?
Uncle Arnie fries them alive with his Hex Vision.

GTM Has been very quiet lately... Maybe I should start working on with the Robot Wars Extreme 3...
It's worth a thought, I suppose. If you like, I could try updating some of the replicas.

Is the standard Medigun or the Quick Fix better? I like the Quick Fix because it charges and heals faster, but other seem to disagree.
I use the standard Medigun myself. Of course it takes a bit longer, but I find it's better in the long run with the Overhealing and better Ubercharge you get from it.

I'm glad everyone likes my robots- I'll see what else I can come up with in due time. Once I've drawn them up, I'll start putting them here when I can from now on
