My heroes in no particular order:

They each have different characteristics I admire.
He ordered 70000 people to be shot by arrows.
Oh, he definitely wasn't a melting pot of friendship, but he was one badass leader. He basically was like, "I'm going to conquer the world." Then, he went and did it. His goal was actually to bring about world peace by uniting everything under his rule. He just might have done it too, if he'd lived.
I can see where you're coming from, but I could say Henry VIII was a badass leader, despite the fact he killed 2 of his wives and executed 28000 people in his reign. We are both right in a way. And he wouldn't have brought world peace, otherwise we probably would have it today by now. But still the wars rage.
