General Support / I can't create transparent decals!

Im a lot good at pic editing so let me help...
Dragonfire since you have photoshop you can use alpha chanel as Mad say...
But keep in mind these things...
1)When you save it as *.TGA for example or other format please view the options in this format to include alpha chanel in saving...
2)alpha chanel is not just have or not trancparensy... He is a value from 0 to 255... So evry pixel exept three (Example : 255,255,255) color values have and for alpha (Example : 255,255,255,255)... This mean that alpha can be a lil or a more trancparent...So you must check what values RA2 requares from 0 to 255 to "consider" it as trancparent...
Get that?

So in Photoshop or any other program just make a image as object shape in alpha to see it only by shape...But again im not sure how must be tha alpha value...Try first only 0 and 255...For example if you use 127 you must see the disk half-trancparent(half-background half-disk)...But this may not work...Im not familiar with RA2 requrments...

To users that use different program : most programs support this so it must work fine in them...

Stock Showcases / Best Havok Explosion you ever had ?

Speaking of Havoc explosions...
Im not sure what is exactly a havoc explosion but whats this : ...
Sometimes when my bots have just regular pistons ( not for glitch ) they are ok in garage but when i start fighting in arena vs AI sometimes my bots get buggy and disappear in the black void...Then i dont see it but AI oponent start to hang around and game start to countdown for me... Exactly look like if you forget to remove anti-ballast and test bot but i dont have anti-ballast on this bots so...
Is this a havoc explosion too ?...
If you cant get it i can make a video or somethin ...
I dont know way this happen to me... The same bots are OK on other computers... But i didnt do something with my game... Its a clean install of 1.3 patch only and Starcore... No more things added.
Please someone help me to remove this "Hudini disappear glitch" ... I cant use normaly my bots...

Actually all ideas i see here are good...

So all you say that this racing arena is 100% possible to make... (the arena shape must be simple to help bots get to finish)
And you like my idea ?
But are you sure that the way of winning mechanism ( this with KotH and fast drop wall on finish) will be the best ?

But damn i really need help in arena building...

I have a new idea ...
If there are enouth people that are happy with this idea i will start it...
I call it "Second chance pack"...
We (ALL,me too) are so blindness from our needs to win in RA2 so we forget from where we started and we abound our firsts not-so-good bots...
I want to give a chance to all bot builders (someones will say me too) that cant make a good enouth bots for Legendary Starcore to no matter of this to show theyr bots to all 'cos you (someones will say me too) deserve it... You (and i) put a lot work on our bots so if they are not good enouth for S4 why not to make a our pack? I have bots for S4 but have not so good freak bots too...
I have a idea for this pack to be freak-bot pack and have a funny bots that are not so efective but cool-loking and funny to watch theyr battels... The only ruls in this pack will be: the bots to be allready AI-ed 'cos i cant , and of course to not win vs strong S4 bots :lol: ....
So let me know what you think for idea like this...

You all remember when you was losing from bots like coal miner, bear, emergency...?
You remember the good old time when you build freak bots with no glitches and play only for fun not for wining...?

But i dont have much time so i must concantrate on one areana...
This means all you must help me choose a really cool for all areana...
If someone offer me team work for arena i want to build a Colosally cool arena, i want to push areana building to theyr limits...
Anyone interested to build unseen thing together ?...

OMG... Look...
I know how will this arena happen more easy...
You set time like for example 3 mins and after the first bot cross finish line the wall is fall fast and lock him in finish area and other bot stay outside without points but for the bot inside counting begin and after the time is over he will have lot points but other 0...
