I like how it has the small wedge with the slash through it on the skin... and then all the battleshots show it against other HS. If you want to beat wedges you definitely need caster armor. See my bot Error, or Popup Patrol in this month's BOTM for a good anti-wedge HS. N12s look kinda cool though. Kinda. Probably not worth the 20 kgs over shinies.

And, I did not know DST and DSS existed, thought there was only DSA
DST and DSS (also double strength plastic and good old DSA) are on most of the stock AI bots. All of them except EMERGENCY I believe. I didn't want anyone entering Big Dog with its giant double-strength steel chassis. That would be difficult to KO in 30 seconds with a fresh bot, all but impossible with a damaged one. But DSA is okay.

All right, signups are officially closed. I'll give any last-minute entries a couple minutes leeway, to account for imprecision in different clocks. (Sorry Somebody.) Say 15 minutes or so. But signups are officially closed beyond that.

You forgot to put the videos in the LB round 1 spoiler. It seems the rammers in this tournament are rather havoky.

No, just one bot per person. If you'd like though, you can still switch out your current entry for your new one. You've got about 2 hours left. Edit: Nevermind just saw your email. Looks like you don't want to switch. Doubleedit: That goes for the rest of you too... TWO HOURS UNTIL SIGNUPS CLOSE!

Yeah use that for now, but if I have time I'm going to AI it myself and send you an update. Also I have an IRL version of Undertaker I'm going to enter. Just need to get the files together and make one little change with the AI. (That AI I wrote for the Lucky 7 tournament is finally going to pay off! )

Is Ludicrous Speed realistic enough for this? Would be a really fun bot if it was. And yes, there are (sort of) inertia flippers in real life: http://www.buildersdb.com/botdetails.asp?botid=393 CrabMeat doesn't really flip but it's where I got the idea for Ludicrous Speed.

Front page updated. Up to 26 bots--a pretty nice number to have. Decently big but not overwhelming.
I submitted mine two days ago ORLY? I haven't gotten it. You'll have to resend (don't worry, I'll reserve you a spot if you miss this and don't resend before midnight today).
I'm sure I sent you a PM. I'll send you another one. =)
OK I've got it now. I may need until tomorrow to send, but I promise to AI myself.
Sorry, you'll have to work fast and enter today unless you've got a very good excuse... Wolfsbane is getting a chance to enter late due to the fact that he's been on vacation since June 21st with no RA2. (An impassioned plea for mercy didn't hurt either.) But as far as I can tell you've had the full month to work on a bot. If nothing else you can just enter an old bot. Do note that I will allow you to send AI after the deadline. You only can't update the bot's components after signups close.

I question the use of razors for the stabilizers, and the 2WD might come back to bite you, but the weapon looks nice and sturdy. Should give all the rammers a really hard time. I like it.

The mass parameter in the txt file only affects the main body in the gmf. Simple components like spikes and ram plates only have one part so there's no problem. If the component has multiple parts like a motor or a wheel, then the weight of the axle, traction zone, etc. gets added on top of whatever the main body's mass is. So you have to subtract the weight of any extra objects in order to get the desired weight for the main body.

Woah, I beat Naryar. Good fight man. Also lol at my robot's backflip in the begin. Major upset! I totally didn't see that coming. Your bot seems to be a surprisingly effective flipper trap.

I still think it's a cool idea so I might do it at some point, but it will be in the far distant future if so. Certainly after BBEANS7.

The thrusters that come with it are allowed
HMMMMMMMM That is even more interesting than the hover engine aspect. The things I could do with those thrusters... and they're even smaller than FB's originals too. If this tournament doesn't fill up too fast, expect something crazy from me.

tsk, tsk.. mr Beetle
Not setting a good example with all your sign ups system rule breaking :P
What do you mean? All of the required rules are clearly stated. And I'm major league so I can open signups whenever I want right? I thought about copying the full rules into this thread so you could do your "these are the rules they cannot change" thing... but what's the point, I'm an admin, if I wanted to be cheaty I could just edit your post. :P Anyway I'm up to 10 bots now. It's going a bit slower than I expected... come on people, don't tell me I'll have to extend signups another week just to get enough bots!

By that logic R0B0 would also get +2 and Scrap would get +1.

I think I know what you're talking about. I've had it happen before and I think you need to attach your motors externally (not on the baseplate) to fix it.

Bump LOL the Harvest ability is stupidly awesome. I got an Exeggutor with Harvest and the following:
Sitrus Berry Bold nature 252 Def/4 Sp.Atk/252 Sp.Def Sleep Powder Leech Seed Substitute Giga Drain If you can't 1 hit KO it, it's difficult to take down. If you can't 2 hit KO it, it's almost impossible. Sitrus Berry keeps it healthy whenever it gets low health, and Leech Seed/Giga Drain help get it back to full. Sleep Powder makes it easy to set up and Substitute gives it a nice security buffer. Anyone else figured out any cool movesets?

I remember playing this. One of the best adventure games for the N64. Even just messing around on the overworld with Diddy's jetpack was a blast. I remember the boss fights were exceptionally good.
