Hammer/Axe Rumble is up!

Bleh. The Devil's Vice's turnspeed was far too high. Then again, that is what I deserve for not AIing it myself.

Is the large chassis to limit havokness?

Bingo. So far in my testing, it is the only way to prevent havoking in the lower weight classes.

If that is entered into MMR I will beat it though

Quit gloating. :P I couldn't enter it anyways though, given the two wheel rule.

Hello Everybody! Here is my first BW FSS, Spiraling Compass II:

Spiraling Compass II is a relatively havokless BW FSS with 4 flail razors and 2 static razors powered by a single TWM3R motor. The drive is an astroflight with a wide ant wheel. When I say relatively havokless, I mean that the bot only havoks when it is tipped too far. This only happens against a couple of opponents, and the havoking stops when the bot rests on the carbon fiber extenders, after which the bot usually self-rights. Spiraling compass can beat most BWs in NAR AI (I got 2.4 finally), but loses to bots that outweapon in (i.e. FangY).

Any comments would be appreciated. :D

Add NPC Fasts, take off a few skirts but keep the amount of weapons and remove the flails , and you've got my unshowcased bot, WhirlWynd. I was gonna call it a ripoff, but I thought, nah, it's good.

Faster drive (perhaps to TWM3R's) Would be best.

Also, the name needs to change. I mean, who's gonna be brainwashed by-GREEN IS NOT MY ENEMY.

No on the NPC Fast. I would recommended downgrading to astroflights and using Melty Brain AI. But staing with slims is probably fine (again, Melty Brain AI though).  I would keep at least some of the flails for better wedge destruction.

it spins fine, and its untested against popups ATM (lulz)

Fast motors are good against popups, so I would recommended testing it and seeing how it fares.

I think your weapon motor may be a bit too slow. How does it fair against popups?

Just out of question, why do you use hex-key screws?

I really ought to get the latest NAR AI pack and get a look at all those shell spinners. Definitely a good popup.

If they [the bees] could solve it [the puzzle], it would mean that they are really smart, smarter than we thought before, which would mean that humans might have some link with bees.

I take further issue with this quote. The apparent spacial recognition ability wasn't learned IMO, the bees possessed it from the start. They simply used trial and error (and previous knowledge regarding suitable plant colors and shapes) to get the best food. This in no way proves they are intelligent (bees have quite low intelligence as far as we know), it simply means they are good at finding food.

I am very confident IBL has the destruction match won (the robot became so much stronger in is update)

Joe... look at what bot you guys are facing. What couldn't beat it? :P

Not bad. But I would still recommended you change your flail attachment so that the weapon point straight out and not to the side.

Is that a one-wheeled Sheck Spinner?

I would up your weapon motor to at least a mag (as King Mushroom said). This bot MUST be underweight, so add in more weapons. Your flails are not mounted very effectively. Mount them so your weapon sticks straight out instead of at a right angle. Also, swap your small DSL teeth for razors. I am also willing to bet your shell spinner is taller than it needs to be. Make sure the chassis is as short as possible.

I'll bet that bot does great... :P Like I said, it is possible. And anyways, saw blades are not representative of most crawler designs.

Homosexuality is not abnormal.

Technically it is... but in essence you are right. It is not something that hurts themselves or others.

See, it'd be impossible to make a bot like that in stock :P

Now those bots are where realism in DSL starts to become grey. Crawlers IRL would not be able to drive whatsoever. They would be practically impossible to make move. But, it is still POSSIBLE to make one.

Also, it would depend on the girl herself whether I agree with JB or noodle.
If she's a brat, then fair enough, I agree with noodle, if not, then I agree with JB, it's a bit extreme hating her if she herself is a nice person who just so happens to be more lucky than you.

^This is the major point of this entire discussion.^

If we assume this girl is an all around good person, then the fact that her parents have a lot of money and gave her the car is not her fault. What would you expect her to do? Tell her parents she can't except the gift because it might make other feel bad? That would be ridiculous. If she is a brat... then I still don't see the reason why you would be so angry about her getting a car. I would be more angry at the fact that she is a brat in the first place.

6 teeth on each hex? Thats 3000 hp each..so 6000hp of weapons.

Your math is a bit off there. Small DSL teeth have 700 HP each, so six would be 4200, for a grand total of 8400 HP.
