T On my HP laptop the pause key works perfectly.
As for your problem, you could use an external keyboard on the USB.
I use sometime.
I might try that; can't believe I forgot about a fairly obvious solution 
This solution has worked for me. Forgot to mention it.

As far as i know, the new pause button binding (as found in newer keyboards) doesn't work with RA2, cause instead of a system pause its a media/music pause.
Could be wrong tho, but pause don't work on my laptop either.

Because you lack the building skills of the real Sage which is why you don't showcase much  .
To be honest my motivation to build was two fold- I enjoyed the challenge, and I enjoyed trying to impress people that were better than me. Now that the game is easy and I'm among the best, it's hard to motivate myself.
