Anyways, I'm up for this tournament! It seems like a good idea, although I feel like there might be a few wedge stalemates.

Your pretty much right dream cast but as plerco said there are wedges,flame throwers,crushers,rammers,lifters.I do think axes and flippers will be the most common but there will be people who are willing to step out there comfort zone

General Rules
DSL-IRL-CW
Arena:Robot Wars 2016 arena (Custom Skin) Hazards are on
24 competitors
Single elimination
1v1 3 minute matches
Match will be restarted if there is havok and will not be shown
If you enter a bot with multiple configurations you must tell me which configuration you want to use before your battle
Me and Bildschirm will be AI'ing the bots but If you can AI then please send me the AI when sending the bot it just makes the process quicker even naming the controls helps
No Melty brain,Eternal Flame or any of that stuff
Custom Component skins are allowed but please send me it when sending the bot
While I cant stop you from doing so I would recommend not sending me bots you have already entered into other competitions
You can Replace your bot when I take sign-ups
Ther will also be a rumble between the 4 losers from the round of 8 so if you have a swiss army config please send it
All participants will receive a custom decal
Awards for winning: AI'd teams from the tournament,special decal for winner
Awards will be given in these categories(winners chosen by other members)special decals will be given to those who win an award

.Best Unsuccessful bot
.Funniest design
.Coolest Design
.Best battles
.Best Name

I will be putting a poll on this thread to see if you guys want to enter and If I get around 32 I will see If I can get it into signups.

Build Rules
NO SPINNERS
no servo bots unless you AI it
no thwakbots
Cluster bots are allowed
swiss army bots are allowed(up to 4 configs)
no cheatbot 2 parts
clipping parts are allowed as long as they are IRL
no BFE unless it is for making burts reach longer
no glitches
Please try your very best when building these bots
Walkers are allowed and are given a 30kg weight bonus but you must also create the AI for it yourself
I encourage you guys to be wacky with the designs and not just go for a design that's meant to win

So, I've always wanted to make a tournament but I have never had the confidence or skills to be able to host it but now that I have read through the general tournament guide I think I have an Idea on how im gonna do it.

No Spinner Tournament
DSL-IRL HW(or CW)
Arena: robot wars 2016 arena (with custom skins)
no servo's unless you can AI it
no cheatbot2 parts
no overhead thwak bots because I dunno how to AI
walkers and shufflers allowed and get a weight boost (I dont know how much of a boost)

This is only a quick run through of the basic rules and there is alot I will include if I do make it. I am also going to try and keep the bracket small so I dont get over welled. There is no guarantees that I will make it but If I do im going to try my very hardest to make sure I dont give up on it. Im going to try AI as much as I can but to carry the work load Im going to see if I can get a friend to also do some so we can get it done quicker. I would love to hear what you guys think :)

I quite like the overall design of this bot :) there are 2 suggestions I would make

1.Make the extenders coloured extenders
2.make the side panels more interesting

Now that everyone is posting their Robogames 2 bots I thought I will to. I have missed out ant weight,Heavy weight and Super heavy weight because ive already shown my HW and SHW and Im struggling with an antweight. They are not the best showcase of my ability but im not amazing with light bots

You sir are a god! I'm down with this Idea and I hope this gets released as TSG or as an add on to DSL everway I want to see this being made keep up the amazing work also is there still going to be replicas and old cheat bot parts added :)

BTW I would also try and add some extra colour parts like the extenders. Things like beatersbars and typhoon teeth. Another idea is to have chain versions of NPC motors as they are so commonly used

Anyone else sick of me posting bots. Here is my latest creation,Nuts+pop team epic=A robot that is really fun to fight with. I did say the clusterbots are interchangeable but what I meant was that I could only have one on the field so I created 2 that I can swap around despite the fact they do the exact same thing. Also sorry I didn't post an internal shot but the internals are very basic with just battery,motor and control board.
