If you guys are quoting the trailer post, could you edit your post and delete the link from the post please? Otherwise the formatting goes all weird.

You people just can't stop complaining, can you?

Fog Of War lasts for around five seconds and clears away instantly. It's not like thick cloud of smoke or some sh** that just hangs around in the arena until it all gets vented out like when Chompalot carked it. It's literally just like someone's emptied a fire extinguisher. Plus it doesn't completely obscure the view of the arena, it just makes it harder to see.

Also the new format is pretty good, everyone is guaranteed two fights even if you lose both of them, and it's much less likely to produce matches that have already happened in the Heat. Also because of the new format it was roughly one round filmed per day, meaning more repair time for the roboteers and less chance of zombie robots coming back just to get destroyed again and again.

Even more updates added to the competitor spreadsheet. Newer competitor images for various Series Ten competitors, International Championship competitors, and robots that did not compete.

Also, with the release of Robot Wars: The Official Handbook the format of Series Ten has been officially revealed.
  • Round 1: Group Battles: Two three-way battles are held in each heat, with only one outright winner, which will be decided by the Judges if necessary. The winner qualifies directly to Round 3, while the losers enter Round 2.
  • Round 2: Redemption Round: The losers of the Group Battles face each other in head-to-head battles, and only the winner will remain in the competition. It is determined which robot will fight which through their performance in the Group Battle, as whichever robot finished second in one Group Battle will face the robot which placed third in the other Group Battle of the heat.
  • Round 3: Semi Finals: Head-to-head battles between one winner of a Group Battle, and one winner of a Redemption Knockout. The winner qualifies for Round 5 (Heat Final), and the loser qualifies for Round 4 (3rd Place Playoff).
  • Round 4: 3rd Place Playoff: A head-to-head battle between the two robots which lost in Round 3. The winner claims third place within the heat, and qualifies for Round 6 (Wildcard Battle).
  • Round 5: Heat Final: The Heat Final between the two robots to remain undefeated in the episode. The winner of the Heat Final becomes the heat winner, and qualifies for the Grand Final directly, at the Round 7 stage. The loser is automatically placed in Round 6 (Wildcard Battle) alongside the third place finisher of the heat.
  • Round 6: Wildcard Battle: All five robots to lose in the Heat Final, and all five robots to win in the 3rd Place Wildcard battle are placed into one ten-way battle with no time limit. The last robot standing will become the sixth competitor in the Grand Final.
  • Round 7 Onwards: And after this, although not officially confirmed, the Grand Final will presumably play out in the same format as a Heat would.

A release on the BBC Media Centre also confirms the air date as 22nd October but does not yet give a time, likely 7.00 pm or 8.00 pm, though.
Heat A will contain:
  • Sabretooth: Once again it's time to #PrayForGabe.
  • Behemoth: Ever present in Robot Wars.
  • Donald Thump: Making Robot Wars great again.
  • Apollo: Series Eight champions looking to reclaim their crown.
  • Apocalypse: Rookie team with an axe and side grabbers.
  • The Swarm: Five part clusterbot, four parts in the arena for any one battle.

New arena hazard in the form of Fog Of War also confirmed. Pressing the tyre in the arena now has three options, the Doom Dial can swing to the left to open The Pit, it can swing to the right and glow orange to unleash the Rogue House Robot, or it can swing to the right and glow blue to activate the Fog Of War, which fires multiple huge jets of CO2 into the arena and in front of the control booths from the arena corners and under the arena tyre, blinding the roboteers and preventing them from being able to control their robots well.

Very likely to be more news on the way soon. The full lineup has been known for quite a while too, so would it be okay to put up the poll asking who you all think will win, or still not yet?

International Championships competitors added to the spreadsheet with pictures.

If anyone wants to copy/paste the link for the spreadsheet to Reddit for me then sure, go for it, I don't have an account.

Still twelve open spaces up for grabs, don't make me use the byebots.

Newest build is pretty good. I noticed that my framerate improved when I was right in the corners, like directly in the spotlights, and worsened in the middle of the arena.

8: Waifu trash. Splash reminds me of either Kurt or F1Krazy. Not sure why.
It's not like anything I've made before. It's not even close. It's also not me.

Assuming I didn't miscount, #8 is kinda like your one Masters of Disaster robot.
I meant the ugly as hell splash.
