Unless you're really using that JX motor for a lifter, I think you should ditch it and get some heavier weapons. Dual perms or bigger hammers would work. The JX acts as a Srimech, ocasionally, the blades will get stuck in the ground, & i use the JX to get out. 809

Bots Like This - If you can, try using a TWM drive motors, you may have to take some batts out.
Dizzy Dragon - Use a blue control board. Also, don't you think vlad spikes are kind of heavy for a LW? Elevator - 13 batts? That's way over powered drop down to at least 7 or 6, and use NPC's, you'll have the weight. Fear Ripper - Take out the ant batt and 2 reds, then try using irons if you can. Don't use stock parts in DSL. Helicopter - Take out 3 batts. Mini Moo - Raise the blade so it doesn't go through the chassis. DSL is realism. Red Reaper - Take out the stock control board and use multi extenders. Zantetsuken - Same as Mini Moo. 810

There's a hidden component called the Battlebot Motor, would that count as a custom component, since its a cheat part?

Chassis work is not fun at all. Several hours? It takes me about a minute for what i want. Anyway, there insn't gonna be any bots fora a few days, my BBEANS AI and Starcore just crashed, but all my bots are saved. BTW, is this normal? ![]() 817

Other Tutorials / RA2 - Question & Answers« on: October 11, 2009, 12:06:36 AM »
This is a thread to help people who are new RA2 fix any problems they have with the game, find out how to build better, and enhance gameplay for the bext RA2 gaming expierience possible.
Questions below are things that i can answer, some other people can explain it better, but i'll try to make you understand: Q: Why do my menu buttons look weird? A: If you have the downloaded version of the game, this is a common problem. To fix it, go to the patches section on the download page, and find the Robot Arena 2 1.3 Patch, this should fix the problem. Q: How do i play as an AI bot? A: Go to the AI folder and find the bot you want(take note that the game counts from 0, so team 0 is Red Zone, and team 5 is Team Spark). For example, if you wanted to play as BEAR, you'd go to team to and copy the bot file(bot files also count from 0, so he would be bot 2). Copy it and paste into your Robot Designs folder, go into the game and go to the Import Bot tab, the bot should be there. Q: The Z-tek Motor is too slow, how do i make it faster? A: The easiest way is to attach it to a snapper or servo, there is a glitch that i can't explain that makes the motor faster on a snapper or servo. Q: How do i make an angled part of the chassis? A: When on step 2 of the chassis tab, move the points on the grid up, down, left, or right, this should make it angled. Q: Why do my bots occasionally fly around the arena? A: This is a very annoying glitch called havok, usually caused by lag or when parts of the bot go through the wall or floor. Q: How do i make my bot a SHW? A: There are some components on the downloads section called antiballasts, these are normal ballast, but instead of increasing the weight, it drops it, usually around 400 kg. So before you build put it in, when you're done building, take it out, then it should be over 800. WARNING, don't go into the test garage while the antiballast is on the bot, the screen will go black and you'll have to go to another tab to get back the screen again. Q: How do you turn the normal extenders 90 degrees or more to where you want it to? A:You turn the normal extenders 9 turns to rotate it 90 degrees. Q: What size does a texture skin need to be? A: 125 X 125 Q: What does AAM stand for? A: Pending Q: How do you overlap components? A: Pending Every time there is a new question, i will put it up, once its answered, the answer as well. If the answer says "Pending", that means it hasn't been answered. 819
