Well. I think deleting DSL from my computer would be a better idea. I know giving up isn't the answer but I'm practically beating a dead horse.

Lemonism IS hosting the challenge due to complications on RedAce's side of things.
What I really wanted to know is why you chose no time limit because if two people will enter IRL wedges or something worse, you'll just get a stalemate and the battle will go nowhere.

Trust me, we haven't...

Tonight did get out of hand yes. But it wasn't a complete failure, everyone joined, fought bots. And I would say banter... Buut, to me it was idiocy really.

Congratz on the winners of the LW & HW
I'll gladly take 4th & Heavyweight Runner up. Cheers MKB, just message me via steam if you need any help for series 2, I'd be happy to ^^

Edit: Wait, no time limit? Why?

You offered dude. The last one was no time limit, why are you protesting now?

you guys are blowing this way way way out of proportion

let the guy build what he wants. if he gets annihilated in BBX well then that's his fault.
Yeah, I might pull a 'cheese' ;)

And yes, DSL pro's... I'll let you get on and I'll go back to Ironforge xD
Haters gonna hate~ :3

Oh look, jonzu is multiaccounting.
How about no

Tibsy, you're getting better. Try using some slot stickers so the wheels don't look like they're sticking out of the chassis. And what Naryar said, it sorta needs more weapons since it's a HEAVYWEIGHT.

You know specifying 'heavyweight' in all caps doesn't motivate me to improve it.
Thanks though! :)

the thing is he's right. heavyweights kinda need 3x the amount of weapons that there is on a LW because they're  roughly 3x heavier.

of course it depends of the bot type but even on a hw popup this weapon weight will be unsufficient. On a thwack... see where I am going ?
After BBX I'm not bothering with DSL any more.
We are NOT trying to piss you off or get you out of the forums or disgust you from DSL. At all.

We're simply trying to make you build better designs.

Simply, advice is not necessarily nice. Advice is simply advice. Take it and your building will improve. Ignore it and it will stagnate.

Trust me once I was only average in DSL. Then I grew up, with other's designs.

I apologise if my advice may have sounded too harsh or arrogant. It wasn't the point and I wasn't trying to be that. I was merely saying what was wrong with your bot, and trying to correct that.

To be honest Naryar... I'm kinda drunk... I have the upmost respect for you, its just my low confidence... When I take advice I think it means that I suck or I'm not good enough..

And while I'm being honest, yes. It did seem arrogance... Today's just not gone well. I'm going to bed.

(Another drink for your BEER thread. HPA... Lovely. Goodnight)

A friend of mine made me this... Dunno if this is a YTP or not.
I'll try and make some soon if I have the time (and if PhotoStage doesn't keep crashing..)

Probably better than the PolitiPoop 'zooki put up, LEL.

No, I agree with Craaig. The skin is ok but the design in itself is somewhat bland and very weak and I don't believe your idea of fun is entering a bot that will get curbstomped.

IRL may not be all about combat efficiency, but it's still a competition.

Jeez... I know I want to learn but I'll learn my own way... Thanks for your input again dude..
My skins are bland you say?

That is a tiny amount of weaponry even for an IRL bot.
Meh, its all good fun.

If some of you remember, I uploaded pictures of my BBX entries:
LW - Barney
MW - Digitus
HW - Cerealisation

Now, although it got some praise, I wasn't really confident with Cerealisation, yes it looked the part but I thought it really wasn't good enough for the HW division. So I built a NEW HW robot to replace it:

It's a thwacker, risky I know. But it would be nice to see a few. Say what you like, I'm in BBX for fun and good sportsmanship.

Note: Cerealisation will be upgraded so it can compete in the SHW division (if I can complete it in time!!!)
