Practice making cardboard mockups if you can't do them straight away, it's worth it once you can get a good mockup done and already have good measurements for an aw shell at the ready.

Ewe 3 Noisy Cricket.
Neither of these are huge names, noisy cricket only turned up to a few events and Ewe 3 is a bot that I've only ever seen at robots live events.

Awesomeness. How much of the chassis I sold you is left?
Only the weapon bulkheads really since the motor mounts act as the sides and it's got a new lid and baseplate.

 Terminus is finally robot looking once again, it's getting a new hardox bar before bluewater but there won't be an arena there so it's likely that it won't see full combat until some time next year.

Full inch for the sides, half for the top/bottom. Extremely thick for the weight, but would go up to something like 2 and 1 inches respectively if I built to the limit (which I will next time). The wedge is 4mm aluminium, few scratches but hardy enough. Actually, I'm pretty happy with the weight. Means it flies well :P
Can anyone with a beetle spinner tell me what they use for the weapon motor please? Need some suggestions to go of.
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=31782I'm using one of these in terminus and will likely be using one in a vs I'm working on, just to let you know though a spinner as one of your first bots is a challenge but by all means go for it.

Finished my arena run 6-3, lowest ranking in constructed I have reached is about 14 but I could probably get to about 10 or so if I played more often. The 2 classes I play most are priest and Shaman.
I haven't played shaman, I did have the golden legendary for shaman though but I disenchanted it.

I play a decent amount, my best arena run is 7-3 and lowest rank I hit was 15 because I didn't like the whole ranked system, I generally use control/trmpo lally, hunter or early rush druid.

Are the wires compatible with one another? Also, what receiver do you use?
Not in their currrent state, no, the esc needs some female bullet connectors so the motor can plug into it, and for this I'll either be using the transmitter/receiver from minor tom which is just a cheapo giant shark one or a planet 5 set depending on whether minor tom is running for bluewater or not.

In other new, I have gotten in contact with John Findlay and we are discussing the possibility of making this pack 'Official' and obtaining permission to recreate the robots still fighting today. So if all is successful, you can start throwing your hats in the air!
GTM feathers pls :P

What I am suprised by is that no-one has asked me (or anyone actually) on here about 3D printing a working replica model for them to use with their RW Figures.
An IRL replica of Gravity would be amazing!
Given the right sizing I could probably make any of the models into working antweights.

I'm not sure if I joined before or after your departure but welcome back nevertheless.
I believe you joined before I departed, I remember you! (also that's a cool looking robot you have there!)
Thanks, unfortunately all it does is look cool at the moment since it went on a short flight that ended in smoke a few weeks ago.

here ya go (Image removed from quote.) wedge is a little bit better weapon is good for tossing robots in the air
need a hug may look boring but in performance its a beauty
Still looks extremely ugly and those supports look very fragile. The wedge still looks extremely out of place and the weapon just doesn't look any good.

Rightyho, I have a little update;
getting some parts from Hobbyking, but I have a problem;
I have the 2.4 GHz Planel digital remote control that comes with the robot wars antweight kit, but would it work with any old 2.4 Ghz reciever? I have no clue
Do you not have the receiver that comes with it?
When I got the antweight kit and started to fiddle around with the bot (since it didn't work) it broke
I don't know what other recievers work with it in that case, you could ask on the fra forum or in the facebook group though and I'm sure someone will be able to help.

I'm trying to create a £0 ant weight and get started with making robots, for my next I will do what you said. And thanks :)
Also, I'm gonna try and find some aluminium from a scrapyard to try and create the chassis, anyone know about any in Kent?
Guess what county plaz lives in
Really? I had no idea
Yeah, I'm on Sheppey if you know where that is. For ants there is a cost to build even the cheapest thing, you can build one for about £60 including radio. Add me on skype since it's easier to talk on there and I can get you in contact with Haz so you have multiple sources for any help you may need.

Rules: DSL 2.1 Tag team of 2 heavyweight bots, 1 bot per entrant so you'll have to find someone to team up with Realistic rule applies (that means DSL-S) No multibots No BFE, AAM, or any of that. No Cheatbot2 No Crawlers No flails Trov glitch is allowed however Can attempt to enter unlimited times until a bot is accepted, 2 updates allowed after a bot is accepted. updates my not drastically change a bot e.g change bot type. Bots can not be updated after the SBV is posted. 1 havok=restart 2=disqualification Any IRL bots will not be accepted because they would be a wasted entry, no joke bots either for the same reason. Keznorg arena will be used: I will be entering as a team with Mr.AS
