Discussion / Re: Advice on replicas and creating unique bots

What kind of things do you specifically need help with?

I mean, what are you struggling with in the building process?

Rhys, in future could you put these kinds of posts in the shoutbox on the front page?

Staying on topic is a big thing here. :)

Might have a go at entering this actually. Probably with a multibot.

I stated earlier that Hammers mean Sledgehammers. I don't want to say "sledgehammer" and then have people trying to enter with Beater Bar blocks or the other hammer head weapons so I'm using it as a general term for it.

As for your second notion, you've hit it on the head really. As long as it could be an axe on an actual robot ad it isn't a blocky mess, i'll allow it.

I would like to stress if you did vote for the Potato option and do indeed want to enter that you change your vote to Yes as soon as possible. I would like to have an accurate measure on how many people are planning on entering.

Only axe robots are allowed in this tournament. And yes, this includes side axes. This excludes hammers as well.

No need to be so hostile about it, he asked for suggestions and I gave him one.

Wait, there's a yugioh thread on this forum and I didn't know about it?

I can't remember if i've seen this or not XD

eco, maybe add in First of the dragons?

Edit; I forgot about the whole "Normal fusions" thing. But with skill drain it doesn't have one XD Another idea is to use that continuous spell card that lets you draw every time you draw a normal monster. (Heart of the underdog?). There are also quite a few pendulums that boost normal monsters with effects.

Exactly.

I'm sure I speak on behalf of everyone when I say this but a massive thank you to everyone involved. You truly deserve a lot of appreciation. There has never been a really good RW game and this damn well makes up for it. It's good to have a little bit of my childhood back :3

But seriously, try to take a break. You really do deserve it. Please don't feel as if you're obliged to update the mod with patches every day, guys.

I meant he was right about the waiting for 16 entrants part :3

I don't want to be picking sides here but yugi is kinda right.

Some of the reason MI2 failed is that people said they'd enter then immediately lost interest and didn't. I'd like to get at least 12 yes votes before I even consider starting signups.

Usually when people add joke answers in the polls they mean yes. If you didn't want to enter then you should use "no" or have not even voted.

And I can wait the 3 months if required, it doesn't matter too much.

Just want to have a last check on whether everyone is in agreement with the rules? The combined Yes and Potato votes are nearly up to the 16 entrants required so I am preparing to start sign-ups relatively soon.

I also want to not have a slow sign-ups period, so when this does get put through, be sure to send your entries fast if possible :3

I had a feeling the controls problem was something to do with an external gamepad. Will I just have to change the controls or is there some other way around it?

To further elaborate on DG's point, a Behemoth style robot wouldn't be allowed as the scoop is the main weapon (Behemoth's axe didn't really ever do anything.) Mortis style robots are allowed to some extent, as long as the axe is the primary weapon. (I previously stated that robots like Hydra are allowed and Mortis and Hydra are fairly similar.

On another note; I'm assuming that all Potato votes are yes votes. XD

Unfortunately I have found another little bug.

If you hit F1 to see a robot's controls whilst the scoreboard is present the game freezes.

Also, the controls for Bigger Brother are incredibly confusing.

Edit; Same for Behemoth. And I bet many others. Also the thumbnail for the sao paulo arena is the bridge of doom.
