Hey, decided to put my lightweight building on hold for awhile, and after some messing around came up with this.

If I had made it in time for CC3 would definitely have been my entry, I am pretty stoked with it.

Plastic 1

(I could of sworn it was 3 but when i went to check it demanded it was 1 so alright)

I made a shell spinner for this. Yep, an AW shell spinner.

Hah, me too! I didn't read the thread before I entered, I didn't think anyone else would be crazy enough to try it!

There goes my surprise advantage!

Tutorials and Tips / Re: AI-ing (.py files, coding, R+D, and help)

Thanks that helped alot, I must have been making a mistake in the bindings.py but i think I fixed it.

Just a suggestion, why dont we put a link for that on the first page of the thread, it would probably make things easier, like I said I started reading but nothing made sense after the 4th page so I didn't think there would be anything worthwhile for me later on.

Just a thought.

here's the part where I get confused, I literally have no clue what Im doing, I just followed the tutorials. I have been reading this thread but none of its making sense, is there another tutorial that will help me understand the processes and the bindings and all that good stuff?

Dare I ask if there is someone out there who will take a few minutes to teach me?

Alright, so, I am just trying to get into this AI thing, so using a HS and NAR pack, i used the tutorial here on GTM to replace the 6th bot on the prehistoric team which is a HS like mine. As far as I can tell, I did everything right, but everytime I attempt to put it into actuion, the game crashes with a c++ runtime error. What am I doing wrong?

No, the smartzone was attached last, it is a pop up the idea is to get the robots stuck on the strips and bash away, the bsg is attached with a multiextender+ polycarbonate, heavy but the best i could do

Thanks for all your comments and tips,

Also a side note, wow some these NAR robots are amazingly built, I am going to have to get really creative If I want a robot that can beat most of them!

Don't quite know but looking at the firestormflipper.gmf It said it was 0kb in size, so I went and found the firestorm flipper in another version of DSL and it was 6.3 kb in size I replaced them now it works. go figure eh

Firestorm flipper is to protect the rear motors, in exhibition battles they were coming off way too often, whether through my lack of driving skill, or lack of hp, now they dont.

Great Tutorial Sage, one question though, I am trying to reskin the firestorm flipper for my robot, but everytime I attempt todecompile, it says it is not a valid .gmf binary file?

I have tried it with random other .gmf's and it works fine, any clue as to why this is not working
?

Britespark!

Plastic 3

158 amps (2 blacks, battlepack, 1 ant)

16 razors, Firestorm flipper, medium snowplow, small wedge and 20*160 DSL bar. 2 dual sided teeth.

Might have to make a splash for this one, can beat ever DSL AI, except perhaps grog, am having troubles with him

Forget that, my DSL crashed and I was not able to save him, on the other hand here is my latest idea.

This is with Plastic 3

Well, I've put further development of mini ray on hold while I try and sort out my larger weight issues.

Here is my first attempt a VS, called VS WIP at the moment :p

4 battlepacks, 1 ant
3mm Titanium.
weight is 897.3 kg i think

Major stability issues, still working on self righting, flipped way too easy, and needs that massive set of spikes and two 60 kg hammers to keep the spinner from hitting the ground.
