I'm with conraaa there about the thwomp bot. I'm still depressed that the ai for the thrusters was screwy. Would've loved to see that thing in the tourney.
So.....who's up for some round 2 action? Get to the first post then, it's there.

Though why wasn't it moving that much?
That's due to it barely hovering. Scraping against the ground is slowing it down. It tries, though. your right, in the garage, it's fine. but try it out in the parking lot

Thank you all for your patience with this. Yes, it's starting again. There is a slight tidbit that I wanna make sure everyone is aware of. I lost two of the bots in the computer transition, Ogre's "Awesome Drumfill" and the byebot, Sussudio. Sussudio, I rebuilt to as close as I could get. If there's a difference at all, it's a slight change to the chassis size, and the paintjob. Awesome Drumfill was rebuilt by Ogre, with me making sure he got it as close to the original as possible. I doubt you guys would've even noticed the difference, but I thought it right and fair to make it known. This is starting again? Sweet! Quick question, Yoda what's the smartzone like on my entry? I can't remember how I placed it all those millennia ago.
smartzones are there. It works the way I assume you meant it, but, since this is just an AI change, if you'd like to fix it, i'll allow it. Make it quick though, I'm gonna be posting vids very soon. Thanks again for the opportunity to finish this

I knew I was gonna love the AT-AT as soon as you said "AT-AT". Then, along came the crocodile and my jaw dropped. That's completely awesome. This quickly became one of my favorite showcases.
Personally, I could never get a walker to work even half as good as your original prototype one, not for lack of trying. Would've loved to see the AT-ST style working, but something tells me bipedal walkers are an impossibility in this game. Looking forward to you proving me wrong.

This thread is amazingly ridiculous. Lemme start out by saying I never saw the point in the reputation system anyway, other than a bit of fun. I couldn't care less if it exists, doesn't exist, gets overhauled, or even boils down to one person doing it. There is one point that's been brought up repeatedly in here that I'm confused about.... Besides, reputation should be a GENERAL appreciation of the member by the community. How does "repping up due to personal tastes" is general ?
How can rep be a "general appreciation of the member by the COMMUNITY" when only a select few are even allowed to up or down vote? This is specific appreciation, not general. General appreciation by the community can only be achieved when the entire community is involved. Nobody has to agree with why one member is being up/down voted but that's the way it is

Bindings:#133 - Team Midight "We will outrun you...." list.append(("Midnight Frequency 2","Spinner",{'invertible':True,'range':50,'radius':0.5,'throttle':130,'topspeed':120,'turn':50,'turnspeed':3,'weapons':(1,)})) list.append(("Midnight Sky 7.2","Popup",{'invertible':False,'radius':0.5,'topspeed':100,'throttle':130,'turn':60,'turnspeed':3,'weapons':(1,)})) list.append(("Midnight Ambience","Omni",{'invertible':True,'range':99,'radius':1.5,'throttle':100,'topspeed':99,'turn':100,'turnspeed':3,'weapons':(0,)}))
I believe the last line is your problem. 4 spaces go before 'list.append'. that one has 3. Such a simple thing, but it will crash ya.

Thank you thank you. Finally got a new one. Which means, yes, ITAT will be completed as promised. Gotta do a few other things first, and get fraps again. So glad to actually be able to do the things I enjoy again. The temporary replacement computer was little better than a way to check facebook. THIS IS GLORIOUS
You forgot VS (although the drum would probably double as that already) and FS though
Originally had a VS on there, but it kept AGODing, so I gave up and took it off. The FS WAS simply a matter of forgetting....and weight issues.

Finally, I present the Seventh Deadly Sin......Greed.. The desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual ]A Flipper/Hammer/HS/flamer/SideHammer/Sawbot/Poker/Rammer/Drum/Sns Hybrid] The best part, nothing intersects in an unrealistic fashion. The flipper is, for the most part, worthless, being on the side of the bot, and even if a bot winds up on the flipper arm, the angle of flipping isn't enough to do much. But damn it, i made a 10-part hybrid. If that's not Greedy, I don't know what is.

Lust is pretty nice, but Pride is a bit disappointing. Pride should be a ridiculously large, bristling with weapons, extremely dangerous-looking but unpractical and mostly a poor fighter, with a skin full of self-righteous, overblown statements, as only a proud builder would build.
Or something like a SHW full of ballasts. Only the proud waste weight, confident that they can defeat their enemies with less weight.
The original Pride was a sit-n-spin that used a strange variety of normal-havin weapons only, overly large chassis and plastic 1 armor with no external armor. Although it fit the theme a lot better, there were a few problems. 1. it was a heavyweight, 2. there were a few flails, both of these kept me from entering it into RIP3. Third problem was...I wanted to stand somewhat of a chance. The ballast idea is genius. hueueueue lust, plowing your opponent...
does the extender on pride come off easily ? 600 hp probably wont last long unless the razors do a bit of protecting it, and i see a whole bunch of empty space in there :|
Surprisingly, I haven't had much of a problem with losing the extenders. I tend to lose all the razors first, so i'm fine with that. I just realized I've got one sin left and then i'm done with this series. Greed's gonna be fun to build :D.

Been awhile, it has....Presenting Two of Seven Middleweight for RIP3... Lightweight for RIP3 Lust: An inordinate craving for pleasures of the body. Why is it Lust? Aside from the images on the plows, the sidehammer is setup to (hopefully) hit more of the back of the opponent....spanking them into submission. Also, if you think of the plows as legs....well, look at the placement. Pride: An excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. A direct lightweight clone of Ogre's 'Emobot' from Survival of the Fittest. Why is it Pride? More of a performance than build theme. Pride seems to go after the middleweight of the opposing team first, and once that's done, tries everything in it's power to push Lust out of the way to get at the remaining bot.

Sorry to hear about your computer problems. That is no fun. What died on your old compy?
Try not to stress out about it and good luck!
It was an emachines, need I say more? It was always meant to be a temporary replacement anyway, it just became more permanent than I expected. So, yeah, this datasaurus that i'm using now isn't going to be able to do this. Technically, It'll run RA2 and fraps simultaneously, but it's so laggy that's it's not even worth it. And I don't think I'll be able to get my new one within the time limit. So, it is with regret that I announce the cancellation. I don't want to hold any other new tournaments back from starting. That being said, I don't feel right about people building bots and not getting the payoff for it, so if i'm allowed, the tournament will be completed in the future in an unofficial capacity, just so you guys haven't completely wasted your time. I still willingly accept my tourney ban and host count reduction, though. My sincerest apologies.

Quick update. My computer has officially became a paperweight. Finally gave up the ghost a few days ago after struggling on it's last limbs for 2 weeks. I got a loaner from a friend tonight, however, so this is not the end of ITAT. At least, I hope. This thing is old and slow as crap, (originally came with windows ME, if that gives you an idea) so i'm hoping things will run smoothly enough on it. Will be testing sometime tomorrow after sleep and band practice.
Thank you all so much for your patience.
