Matilda at work. Showing how her flywheel is indeed wreaking havoc.

Another small "update" on him (not really in the way of modeling, but more of word-based update)... I am patiently waiting for a way to get him into Robot Rumble 2.0. I admit I have made a version of "Crushowrecks" in Robot Rumble 2.0, but that was a, in my opinion, major failure... as I am not used to that kind of builder.

Blender on the other hand (now in version 2.81a) is proving to be a strong workhouse for visualising anything I got in mind.

Just wanted to say that I've found in hex in the "system.dat" file where the sound provider is located. The sound bug might be occurring when another provider than Miles Audio is selected. So, for those who are experiencing the bug with the sound, use Miles Audio. It may sound awful when in battle, but so far I've yet to encounter a bug with Miles Audio in the main menu.

EDIT: The bug is still present with Miles Fast 2D Positional Audio selected, I spoke too soon -_-... Well, back to the old drawing board.

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: My third Robot Wars arena

I came up with the idea to also laminate the cpz's in plastic, much better durability. The competitor robots in the arena are of course Razer, and Drillzilla. Replicating the Second World Championship final.

Another update on my arena. I put the cut-out corner patrol zones in my printer-scanner-copying machine, and volia! The CPZ are now perfectly flush with the arena floor!

Bit late for a reply but unfortunately still won't play.  What graphics driver will I need to reinstall?

Well, if you've got a Nvidia graphics card, it's at www.geforce.com, or, if you've got a Radeon, it's probably www.amd.com. A search engine is your friend

EDIT: Or maybe I can pack/zip my game, and share it here for you

Dont hurt Razer  :(
Well, it damaged Matilda in the Southern Annihilator. So this is revenge for her I suppose. Still, it's just a game, and I kind of like Razer anyway

Suppose I'll have to link to the images with another hosting service than OneDrive. I will give ImageShack a try.

EDIT: There, I fixed the links.

Razer: "Time for you to find out what it feels like to be a pepper pot!"

Dead Metal: "... Ah, I'll show you what pain's about! I'm gonna rip you up!"

Where?

My bad, I had not put the images in my public OneDrive folder. Done that now. Please check again.

Tried it. Still the same results.

Hello bigbiggerbiggest.

I will download that version from here and check.

EDIT: Hmm... for me it works... but that's under Windows 7... I will provide the updated executable (cracked, and updated to version 1.115b) here in case you want to test that one instead. I doubt anything will change though. But I somehow suspect that it could maybe be the graphics driver that needs to be reinstalled? Not sure...

Creativity Showcase / Crushowrecks claw (update)
« on: September 15, 2019, 03:15:16 AM »
An update on Crushowrecks claw… now slightly wider with more organic teeth, pointing in all kinds of directions, and with this amount of hydraulics… ouch...

His head and face is done. I might do some more modeling on it, but I'm extremely happy with the result so far.

Matilda with her flywheel, single-handedly taking on both Razer and Suicidal Tendencies! Razer with it's nine tonnes of force in it's claw, and Suicidal Tendencies with it's proclaimed twenty-six tonnes of crush. I'd like to say like Jonathan Pearce commented on it: "I find that hard to believe to be honest!"

Crushowrecks and Sir Killalot. Yes, I did take some inspiration from Sir Killalot, but I would call Crushowrecks a mix between Sir Killalot and Mr Psycho, and perhaps a little from Major Damage.

Once again, a human reference correctly scaled to 1.76 (5.8 feet) meters while Crushowrecks is 2 meters (6.6 feet).

The human model is available for free at TurboSquid and is not made by me.

Cool! Looks a bit like Cassius Chrome.
I haven't been thinking about that until you said it, well spotted! :claping

I think I drew some inspiration from Sir Killalot, but yeah, with those arms he indeed looks a bit like Cassius Chrome.
