Stock Showcases / now that I have starcore 3.0 had to make a tougher bot.

meet Bloodthirster (revisited, revised, and without remorse)
Yeah.. got starcore v3.0 only one of my existing bots could partially handle it.. so I had to conjure this beast to take care of some business.

(I know I didn't name him that's why it says "enter bot name" on the battle shots.)

It is extremely stable (somehow) there are 9 maces on each tribar.. 12 iron spikes on each burst piston...
and unfortunately I could only fit a nifty in there.. no blacks.. the upside is.. he destroys anything hes up against within its battery life... I just got starcore today and made this bot today... I dunno what bots are supposed to be the toughest, SO lemme know so I can pit my bots against them... Thnx again for the feedback.

these recent bots are just ones that I have built since I've reinstalled the game... (I reinstalled about 3 days ago due to my good compy dieing a very sad and depressing death.)

much easier to open in something like paint and just save them as .jpgs. then you can crop out the rest of the botlab, which we dont need to see.

funny you said that... I was doing it as you posted this... lolz. (wish I still have gimp) this stand in comp REALLY blows... 156ramm 600mhz.. integrated vid

this is Scorpup MW I got 2 teams of LWs I'll post a little later.
I even threw in a few HWs against him...

I'm DLing some better AI tomorrow. So I'll have to step up meh game.

I used those hammers for wheel protection alone. it is extremely effective in battle and it doesn't flip over so I dont need it to be invertable... But I am still fighting stock (retail game) bots.  I wanted to use the iron spikes instead of pole spikes but iron spikes weigh a bit more... I can revise a few of them (because of there length they equal the weight of irons.) anyways.. I'mm convert some more screenies and post my other bots.


I'm trying to keep my bots realistic as possible... some of them I might let some weapon pass through another or something but I do try to keep them mostly realistic.  I haven't looked at a WHOLE lot of other showcases but the ones I have looked at were very unimpressive. (not being a flamer I just have only looked at like 3 showcases.

ah, double streanth aluminum? kind of lost me there.  these are robots i already had before i started my showcase. now, about that aluminum. how do i get it?

Pretty simple.... SKIP the armour tab when your making your chassis go from phase 1 to 2 then click components instead of "finished"

your on the long road of creativity... I think everyone who has ever played RA2 has probably made the bot with 16 pistons.. (you get the point) dont feel bad atleast you didn't get your balls busted as bad as I got mine about my SHWs... lols.


ok... I got bored and started checking ALOT of showcases... yours is the only one that continuously uses sh**ty motors.. and you constantly leave so much space between your parts you could fit another bot inside of it... I'm not trying to bash you but it almost seems like you are building bots just to see what kind of crap people are going to say about them (I mean negative OMG that sux comments) I've been on this forum for a whole... 3 weeks and have learned 2x more than what I already knew and my bots before I joined it were 10x better than what you are showcasing ( I mean effectiveness I didn't mean the "kool" suv robot you made...)

I will give what advice I think you MIGHT absorb.. use more weapons... if there is an atatchment that will accept something put something pokey or smashy there... learn to use the extenders properly... look at the extender before you place it on your bot rotate it in its preview window.. (you will see the green attatchment spots on them.. click them to use the extenders differently) you can make OVERLY effective bots w/o using glitches and cheats or even having to mod or script them into your will.

Just PLEASE build something that doesn't suck.

If you look in the battle shots you can see two poles pretruding upward with a spike on the end.. this was added due to ram bots flipping him... (no more does that happen)

well reguardless of what you may think.. And I'm sure you have made a bot with the perms for drives and decided against it... I push back every bot I go against with it. IF I get my hard drive out of my NOW trashed computer I will make a vid to prove it.


I didn't have time to leave a description of the bot...
when you push w (forward button) the two frontal spikes dig down and get under anything (even critical emergency) and other flippers. I can push them back pretty well into a corner or what have you, then engage the burst piston to strike that (just about always) vulnerable underbelly.  so its kind of a hybrid.. it is extremely effective BUT it is somewhat vulnerable from the side.

New HW.. I trashed Sitting Bull and made The Puma!

I know in the screenies the bot changes a little but I kept making litte tweaks here and there to get the weight to 799

It is mostly Stable.
When going forward the spikes dig into the floor and go under just about ANYTHING. (I cant jump the wedge on the preformance lab)

I built a couple yesterday 1 MW and 1 HW maybe 2 HWs.. I dun rememebr I'm at my friends house ATM I'll post them when I get home. I jewed down one of my SHWs to make it a little more practical.

I don't think you need the extra red battery though. The competition with Reaper was funny. Phone call... :P

as you rotate it count 9 movements is a 180 (i think thats what it was..) lolz

Blood thirster looks absolutely naaasty xD. Is it wobbly, hard to drive, or does it tend to rotate when the spinners are on?

No it doesn't wobble.. each motor counters the other... It drives fine as long as you aren't holding the "spin" button.

This is obviously DSL (I am new to the boards I didn't know there was a dsl and stock section)

the other post is purely stock I didn't have DSL when I made  them. I just took the screenies yesterday right after I installed DSL.

I know its unrealistic...   I'm working on a few others. (realistic/non)

All my teams are full and I need to start exporting to make room.

I probably make 2-16 bots a day.  95% of the time they are completely unique.

I dont want to annoy you guys with tons of showcases so look at this as... me asking permission to add several bots a day... lol.

remember I'm new to the boards so plz dont be suck dicks.

also if you want to batch bmps into (whatever extension you want) you can get FastStone Image Viewer. It really kicks ass.. you can pick it up for free at http://www.majorgeeks.com
I converted 135 ra2 images from bmps to jpegs (full quality) in about 1.5 mins. definately worth it if you are taking alot of screenies to sift through to find the good ones.
