I have always aspired to make a guide... but I use an outdated ancient version of Photoshop.
Would be cool if someone made a guide that was applicable for GIMP or Paint.net. 84

BF1942 is still the only FPS I have installed on my computer. :P
Saw a trial version avail for download on Xbox live. Tried it out, its not as much fun as on my compy. Looking up... I still see my big yellow Counter Strike Source box set on the shelf. Those were the days. 85

Oh yeah. So, that's what I entered. Heh, I forgot.
Hey Thyrus. Can you change the topic icon so it stands out like the other tourneys? I like zeroing in on those first when I check the forum. Thanks! My draw is pretty killer. I don't see my bot succeeding against those wedges. Easy kill for my competitor. :P 88

2k7:
-Inf and Psy were hammering down on noobs left and right. The term "come back to the forums when your balls drop" was waaaaay overused. -Spyguy was a beloved pervert. -Barbie adored Inf and Psy (i think) and gave the forum a healthy dosage of pink bots to critique in her showcase. -Rolo was actually a nice guy. -MegaTerdbomb built a lot. -Man Manu made me laugh with every post... even if it wasn't intentionally humorous. -DexterHunter would always wonder why people never notice him. -DuckRa2 would get slammed by Inf quite a bit (i think) -Madiaba would counsel anyones problems ranging from AI, Arenas, and even their personal problems and mental ails. -Pivonov was awesome... nobody ever remembers him. -ian hosted tourneys... argued with inf a lot... rage quitted once before (maybe twice) -Scrap was a noob (as was I)... I entered my first tourney with him as a team. <3 -LifeRobotArena2 made us all want die. -ACAMS was himself. Though he had Bot Skinning contests that were pretty cool... but not popular enough. (usually got only 3 or 4 entries) -The forum was controlled by Infogrames I think... so when it went down... it went down for days. q.q 89

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: New NASCAR topic« on: December 08, 2012, 10:00:07 AM »I absolutely cannot wait to see that race. Yeah, my in-laws raced Asphalt modifieds for 30+ years. Closed up shop last year though. Car and Engine are for sale... and I got a whole raceshop to dig through and organize for possible ebay sales. I honestly don't know much about the difference in chassis since they never raced dirt ever. My uneducated presumption for the trucks is that they probably shift nearly ALL the chassis weights to the drivers side to keep it from drifting too much. 91

I find this new avatar fad intriguing.
I am (almost) tempted to unlock the junkyard just so I can figure out what is going on. Though, if I did that and then clicked on my show unread topics link, the internet would fold into itself and blink out of existence. 92

I hope to make a bot this weekend.
Was going to make one last weekend... but Friday night led to a weekend long hangover. I can't get inspired with a hangover. 95
Discussion / Re: NEW RA2 GLITCH FOUND - Infinite Chassis Points« on: December 04, 2012, 03:32:13 AM »i dont really understand why you would need more than 16 chassis points..... i dont think ive ever reached 16 on any of my bots to begin with For practical bot building there probably isn't much use for it. However, for complex Replica Building or IRL bots... it might come in handy. 97

When I first joined the forum in '07 I spazzed at inf pretty soon.
He was giving some harsh feedback to some noob and I got defensive & lost my cool. The thing with inf is that he is so straightforward and critical that it is easy to get defensive. But if you take a moment breathe and not take it personal his advice shapes you into an elite builder. On one hand, I miss having him around. His building skill is epic. He advice is always sound. And (sometimes) his noob-whacking is totally necessary. On the other hand, his presence seems to turn the community into a hive of angry bees. I don't miss that. 99
