Your best bet is custom motors. Thoses DDTs are adequately powered by the Supervolts alone, any more and it's just being wasteful.
There's only so much you can do with a motor, especially balanced ones.

Well, there can be little grip and slowdown stats...
Those stats are probably the most influential, especially slowdown. Grip means what it says and slowdown is meant to make cars slower on certain surfaces! (Like how a Rally Car would beat an F1 on the grass) So a lower slowdown on the Tarmac and Gravel surfaces at the very least could be -very- advantageous.
