for motor protection, try dropping the irons and a couple of maces for ramplates? yeah it might not look as cool but i think that ramplates would cover those motors better than what you have going on currently.
Barbed Obisidian was one of Luigica's popups

Felt like building but didn't have any ideas so yeah I'll bump this A Borg Drone rebuild. I remember looking at Pwn's rebuild and thought of ways to improve on it. Ended up with the nifty stacked into the black (which took a good while due to chassis being damn near airtight) and two casters. DSA.

The larger discs mixed with the slower motors seem like a bad idea for me in terms of damage output. How does it work?
It pretty much does as much damage as NWB. Bots that are on top of it are dead in like 10 seconds anyway

Update to Sokana (juggler on page 17 of this showcase) Sokana II 794, DSA, 2 blacks, reg zteks as weapon motors. I pretty much improved on the original Sokana by making it larger which adds more stability, adding bigger discs which creates a bigger damage area, and setting up the ramplates on anchors, which allow for better wedges (on par with NWB). Can self right with the DDT wedges just like its predecessor, other than that it isn't really that special.

I cloned them :P. When I feel like building something but I don't have any ideas, I just find some bots I like and try to replicate them. I did this with probably 13-15 bots now, which is why there are Ideal Tyrant, SpiTe 4 and High Tolerance clones in my pics too.

I have everyone beat
On the first bot I made I literally attached all the wheels to axles thinking that the axles were actually motors >_< I didn't know anything about wiring, different attachment points, or how to raise and rotate components. I also always used the mini control board and blue control board on all of my early DSL bots thinking that the blue control board was the receiver for the mini control board.

Last bot: instead of the weapon rack you got going on, just attach an extender to the first extender on the weapon ddt with the APs facing up, and attch another to that extender with APs facing up. 2009-2010 the worst areas.
Sparkey was around in 09?

Banish3r 12 razors, 2 blacks. Wedges are good, but it doesn't drive straight >_< Pyragones 398.1, 1 black, and DSA. Drive and weapon motors mounted on one snapper, works fine.
