Ah right, sorry. Now building IRL again. Oh and by the way, when I said IRL before, I meant properly real life. Not ingame.

Sunset Fury

Pros:
Fast-ish
Armour is good
Can self-right sometimes

Cons:
God awful colouring (Difficult to create skins atm because I only have paint and a terrible mouse)
Not powerful

S.I.R Prototype (First draw-up of my IRL bot) MW

Pros:
Fast
Excellent pusher
Can be inverted

Cons:
Hard to control
Armour is weak

Interesting fact:
The hinges connecting the hammers make this robot have the ability to 'box' when upside down.

David, it's great that you're checking out showcases, but please don't bump threads that are 2< months old.

1 Month* Though the fact that he pulled something out when I was 11 annoyed me.

Right. Sorry for not being here for a while, kept delaying doing the bot. I promise it shall be up in about 20 mins.

Edit: Nevermind, can't do that as I'm at a different computer. I'll start working on something else. Don't expect a masterpiece though.

Difficult to say. Though I'm not all that interested in RPG/Adventure/RTS. I like Sandbox/Sim/Racing.

I come back for one day to find this. Oh my good lord this is excellent! If I had a cookie to give you, I would give it to you.

Massive bump but it's on topic so I'm sure no one will mind.

Hogs of War for PS1 and PC. Probably one of my favorite games of all time.

Oh my...

Don't use piglets for drive, use the blue control board, use multi-extenders instead of baseplate anchors, don't use ballast, I wouldn't use the rulers like that, if it needs balancing you'd be better off making the chassis much wider and Y connectors suck. Just put the motors on 2 separate multi-extenders.

Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Got it all. Thank you.

It kinda looks cool, though is awfully messy.

Also, a heavyweight with drive Piglets ? Seriously ? Have you even tried drive it ?

Check the tutorials section of the forum, as well.

Cool is a good start. I shall do some spring cleaning don't worry. I know piglets weren't the best, I tried putting something else in but it wasn't working. I can't even drive it because of the weaponry at the front. Alright I'll check tomorrow morning.

uhhh... what's with the top angled shell panels? They serve no purpose at all and actually are detrimental for the bot. Replace the fire axes with RAZORZ!!!!

Does anyone know if rulers even have collision? I never use them so I wouldn't know.

The shell panels were for extra protection against the bot because the back is really really exposed. Didn't know what else to put there. Also, the robot is named after a Samurai because of how the panels work. It looks like a Samurai helmet.

Also changed your showcase title. Kinda feels like abuse right now, and yeah you were building utter sh** back in the day but there's no reason you can't improve.

Does anyone know if rulers even have collision?

nope, they don't have any.

Else people would have started making OP ruler armor by then.

Ah thank you good sir. Well you know, I was only 8 hehe. I want my DSL building to become kind of medium to high kind of standards if you know what I mean. Hopefully I can achieve this kind of building by 2-3 months.

I'll get an improved version by tomorrow morning hopefully, if not tomorrow afternoon.

I'll probably get the SFTW award for building this as I've never really built a good axe robot.

Existing Games / Re: Super Mario 64
« on: February 05, 2014, 01:40:30 PM »
I've played about 3-4 hours of the game and was quite disappointed. Because of the 64' controller, actions were clunky and quite hard to move sometimes without falling off.  I'll probably go back to finish it someday though. I think I'd prefer something like Super Mario Sunshine.

Though I have to say the fact that you can make a level is pretty neat. (Anyone even use neat anymore :V?) I know you can do it with other games but for a N64 game that's nice. Nothing like Excitebike though xD

Guess this is considered a bump but it's on topic so I don't know :3

If you want to include me now since I'm staying I'm English. Tobester, who has recently joined the forums is also English.

It's funny. Before this post was made I was considering entering a axe/hammer robot into the Swords of Glory tourny. Unfortantley, it is indeed difficult to make something using an axe as it will probably not be as powerful as something like a shell spinner or flipper which most robots will probably be. I mean, the only robot I recall from a major tourny with a hammer was Smashbox from BBeans 2. (I can't properly remember the robot and only RECALL it being a hammer.)

...Smashbox is a flipper, MKB.

I did say I couldn't remember. Probably another robot I'm thinking of then.
