Well you built to the weight limit which is good. Cylinder shaped bot would have been better though. Tough to skin... but at least more accurate. You should give it a shot for maximum lulzage.

Thanks Mike and SKBT for your knowledge. I had no idea those batteries could power that much for so long. I guess I overestimate the power draw of Servos (mainly because most of my experience is related to RC cars and such) Great learning thread so far.

Whew! .... 4 hour build-fest. Three bots sent.
Now, gonna take a break and watch Death Note. :P

Interesting. I didn't think that a battery like that could power a bot for a decent amount of time. I suppose I have as much to learn as you do.

That battery looks tiny. 300Mah isn't much charge capacity. Why did you get that? On the bright side it looks like it has a standard Panasonic/At&t connector... so you could charge it in a phone I guess. Also, I don't now a of a lot about antweights... but can the electronics run off 3.6v? That seems odd to me.

Excellent tourney! I can't believe how fast you got all those videos recorded and uploaded. Thrust of Fury did better than I had anticipated. I gotta learn more in popup design though. Congrats to the winner.

Concept drawings sketched today while I was bored. Aiming to build tomorrow evening. Hope the final product looks as good as my imagination.

I would like to enter and likely will send a bot within the week. Gotta brainstorm and get a good evening to build something decent.

What I wanted was this but that was a pie in the sky dream and my mom got a new car so I got this for a very cheap price from my parents.
Raptor to Minivan... you poor soul. I can't remember what car I wanted when I was a teen... probably a Datsun 240z. My first car was this:

I left the junkyard altogether. Lets me focus on the good stuff with the forum. Trimmed my daily "unread" list from 3 pages of topics to appx 1 1/2.
Pretty happy, although I miss the beer thread and GTM land sometimes.

Thank you for mentioning.
It was three separate discussion points and I was moving fast. Bite me.
You are welcome. Multi-quoting just keeps the topics clean. You are not around much so I figured that you may not have been aware that the forum now has that feature. Seriously, there is no reason to get bent out of shape over it.

Oh and Starcore. i dont think anyone is mentioning it because they fear you...
But, you can Multi-quote in one post now. Just use the little multiquote button on the top right of each message. :D

Rule: Oh and no massively overpowered weapons types which have no bearing on the character it's supposed to be resembling. Basically no trying to enter a FSS under the guise of Wonder Woman or a popup dressed as Link.
I presume you make the judgement? Are you prepared for the bawwwing and fingerpointing from members when the splash is posted? Not trying to be a pain in the ass, but the backlash of "grey area" rules like that can result in controversy. However, I have no idea how to make the rule refined and more direct. I love the concept for this tourney and will be rattling around ideas in my head for it. :D

Don't forget to fire, add an axle mount, and then pause in that order.
Goddammit. I wasted a whole day. I'm burning Canada.

BOTM is so controversial. It's pretty awesome, like a reality show or something. For those of you that are bitching about the Giraffe bot winning: Step up your game and enter the next BOTM. The only way to combat joke bots is to really make something awesome for BOTM. Aug BOTM was kinda boring unfortunately, and this is the result. J, you won fair and square, good work. Don't make excuses for it and don't let people taint it. By all means, it is not your "fault" that you won. You let a burst of creativity capture the hearts of the voters and your cards won this round. Next time... you wont be so lucky.

So I was at work today thinking about how poorly my bot is going to perform... when I came up with a great idea that would have been easy to implement.

I want to enter, is it too late? It has been so long since I raised . Also if you enter a stacked HS, you are gay and will be flamed.
You got until Midnight Central time tonight Inf. Get to work.

Why the sequential extenders with no blade protection? I take it since each extender has its own HP they protect the weapons setup just a tad?
