Online Battles / UNOFFICIAL: Ra2 Online League *Opinion*
« on: August 17, 2009, 09:24:45 AM »
Those worried about time zones:

I am awake from 830am to anywhere from 1230 am to 3am on a night where I do not have school. When I have school I am awake from 6am to 1130pm. That's a 16-19 hour day and a 17 and 1/2 hour day. Unless you are awake only the 5-8 hours I am asleep, Im sure there is a way to battle someone in a conflicting time zone if you worked it out.

infiniteinertia:We should do it with IP's and do it in the low lag arena.

There will be an official Arena for online play I will put up for download when the league commences.

There will be a seperate arena for Flippers and Dozers.

There is lag, but the more patient you are in match, the easier it is to deal with.

You dont enter just one bot.

Whats the point of having wedges if the weapons block their effectiveness?

You know what would be even better? A completed Brawl of the Builders tourney :P

I know, but I wanted to wait until Naryar returned.

But yes, the lag issue as you mentioned is very true. Thats why competition will be separated by bot class/genre.

Won't the lag kinda ruin a match?

Im glad you are concerned...

You are indeed right! How fair would it be if one person hosted without lag and the other player had to deal with it?...

Well my friend, there will be a neutral third person host so that both players will deal with the lag evenly, and fairly.

The Third Person Host will perform a number of important measures for this tournament.

****UNOFFICIAL****

As a select [very] few of you know, I have had an official Ra2 League played via Online [Hamachi] Connection for the past year. I have developed a thorough set of rules, regulations, and league functions [NOT on my computer, dont ask to see] that will reveal who the true Ra2 players out in this community are.

I am not giving you any more than that at this point, I just want to listen to everybody's interpretation of what this is going to be, and to hear what suggestions people have for such league.

After reading above post, please post below; whatever you may have to add.

Trust me, this will be huge; bigger than anything else. *I can guarantee it*

Thank you for your help-

The very [currently genial]Infinite.*

I did enter it to see how it would do against other bots, and it did exactly as I hoped it would.

Listen, since the RA2 United thing never works one way or another, Everyone should create a room using their own username.

Somebody...can you build anything good that is not a SnS?...no. Anyone can do that. I built Haymaker when I first started playing DSL, but youve been playing far more than I have. So you cant even speak.

This is Silver Bullet (II), the 2nd Heavyweight of my ENFORCERS team. Pwnator inspired me to post it with his fresh new posting of his brand new HW Rammer.

you never know, Pysc has pretty much free range of attaching anything he wants because he is good at stacking.

Courtesy of Pwnator, I will showcase Silver Bullet in my showcase for those who do not know what it is...
