I think ReActive's got a decent shot at doing well, but it's all down to the luck of the draw.

One round of the competition- 25 bricks in under 2 minutes.

Quick video tour of the machine.

It's a project for one of my classes, and part of our grade depends on how we do compared to the other teams in the class in a brick breaking competition.

Nope, the mini belongs to one of my roommates.

Finished it today and even had time for paint.

As far as performance, it's just as destructive as I'd hoped. Also, it sounds amazing when it's running. I'll make sure to take video of the competition.

Look a little closer at Mike's post...  ;)

But does that bot do the Gyratory Revolt glitch?  FB tried really hard to make a LW version with only marginal success.

And does it really get controlled movement?

Not sure if it gets the proper glitch, but it does get moving pretty quickly and racks up the damage really quickly.

With the way I've got the controls set, if I tap the forward button as the longer CF extender is swinging at the opponent as it gets to about parallel the whole thing seems to translate fairly accurately across the arena.

Time to post my BBEANS entry
Just Kidding

...and yes, I can make it move around the arena in a controlled manner.

Seeing as it's the biggest show on the planet right now, I nominate the RoboGames arena:

Haven't done a lot of robot work lately, a different project has had me distracted.

It's a pedal powered brick breaking machine.

It actually stays surprisingly well balanced. Seems to lose the same razor on each plate first and sorta work down from there, so it'll do a lot before getting unstable.

Here's some more bots:

Also, a new Smashbox:

Corrupted as in windows giving an error when I event try to open folders, and chkdsk erases the robot designs folder and a bunch of other stuff.

So, I just had a major problem with the NarAI version of the game I've got, at the moment, my robot designs folder is corrupted, I've got robots missing, and a bunch of the bot files were corrupted as well. Other copies of the game seem to be working fine. The bad news is, I just lost the bots I made to send as my contributions to the AI pack.

How come you sometimes do three matches and then sometimes you only do two?

If the same robot wins the first two fights a third is pointless.

Somewhat disappointed that the AI for PMC drove it straight out of the arena giving me one of the losses, but there's not much that can be done for that. (I'm talking about match 1, not match 3. Match 3 was perfectly fine.)
