Bringing this back up because why not.

You guys know what to do. I'll take a pic of my established terrorist look at some point.

Not that it's on topic, but you guys do know why click used a triforce theme for dsl3, right? It's kinda obvious...

Isn't that a Legend Of Zelda thing?
LoZ is associated with it but the reason why he used the triforce is because it's dsl3

a triforce has 3 triangles in it. It's like the epitome of the number 3 lol

You forgot to rotate the razors so they're all orientated the same way.

Personally, I think you should rebuild a chassis wedge into the chassis. You'll still get sweeped pretty badly no matter how you fiddle around the skirts. Not sure if the two before me meant that but yeah.

Seeing as I got a good response from my first artbot, here's another:

You have a knack for these things, it seems.

(Image removed from quote.)
Redid the paintjob on it, added a dusty layer over everything and added an extra dust layer on the edges to better define them.
Now that looks pretty good.

I like your sense of humor

Domanating will make a mecha from some show, called it.
Resetti will not do Twn Trwn, called it.
Naryar will attempt to make a Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, called it.
Mazakari enters something from RW or BB, called it.
Collins, his boyfriend, does the same. Called it.
I'd attempt to make TTGL myself, but it technically doesn't exist in real life, so it doesn't count.
It doesn't really say you have to make a robot that exists in real life

Can't wait for this tournament to start. Really proud of the bot I sent in.

Your HS needs a lot more drive. When one builds a fast, wedgy HS, considering it's half undercutter and it has difficulty facing the opponent... you need more turning speed.

Hence : you need at least the equivalent of NPCF+hypnos.

The motors it's using now are NPCF (If I'm not mistaken)

Would two more astroflights and hypnos work?

And the VS, is there any other errors with it?
For the HS, you'd probably get better agility out of it if it were 4wd. Even if you did make it NPCF+hypnos or even technos, the way the drive is positioned will affect how it turns. The only other way to remedy the turning would be to center the drive, and with how the bot is, that would look excruciatingly ugly.

Depends. It's rear hinged.

Thank you. Probably should have thought of better angles, but WAHEY, now I know.

Anything I might do to improve this design?

Oh and yes indeedily I'm building IRL.

Sweet.

For looks, maybe a grittier skin is in order, but that's my preference. I like my skins to be gritty and worn down, not so cel-shaded or cartoonish. Otherwise, maybe a wheel guard that goes all the way around the wheel would be in order, but it doesn't seem like you have weight for that.

I dunno. For aesthetics, just mess around with stuff. I find that putting spikes or teeth on the ends of extenders makes it a little more shnazzy. If you do something and you think it looks cool, stick with it. Chances are, it probably looks cool.

Edit: Oh hey. I'm a superheavyweight. Cool.

Oh. Well, in that case, it's perfectly realistic.

In fact, it's quite nice.

The biggest thing about the realistic rule is intersection. That weapon cutting through the drive motors, wheels, control board, and batteries (and even its own weapon motor, if I'm looking at it correctly) as it spins is largely unrealistic.

As for functionality, having those beater bars on just on side isn't a good idea. Unless you're making some sort of slap machine, as the weapon spins, one rack of weapons will hit while the other one won't as much or at all.

Or, I might be stupid. I can't tell if the drum is attached to those extenders or not.

edit: If the drum is not attached to those extenders, then it's perfectly realistic if not kinda underweaponed.

Just because it's IRL, doesn't mean it has to be bad and/or inefficient.
But it also doesn't have to be all that good or efficient.

That MOE motor he's using is pretty long too, and I'd think it'd look strange if he shortened the chassis. The autistic collision of the NPC's might not allow him to narrow it either.

Still, (at Scrapyard now), you have plenty of weight left over. You could probably do some sort of wheel guard with that.

Doesn't matter.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If you're blurring the aesthetical building of IRL with the efficient rules of standard DSL, you're seriously doing it wrong.

The chassis is fine.
