When the game releases, will it be in 1080p with anti-aliasing, or are these just pre-release screens?

I actually kind of like it, I agree with RR, it sounds like something from the Megadrive though that isn't a bad thing. Especially because it reminds me of Doom.

Keep at it.

Yes, and DooM on the Sega MegaDrive sounded like computer-generated farts.

very creative set up! you going to make more of these?
Thanks! I'm going to make more if I can get any good ideas.
I've started this,
(Image removed from quote.)
but I don't know if it's worth finishing. The 4 edges are slightly higher than the center, with a slight slope connecting the. I might just make it flat. This is just an improvised thing (without walls yet) so it might not even get done.

I actually really like it, dude! Keep working on this arena; we need more simple, but effective arena ideas.

Certainly some time was spent and though this isnt for me, theres a few nice riffs in there. Bottom line is that as long as you're having fun making music you should keep doing it.
No he really shouldnt.

Yes, he really should. My music was as bad as this when I started - 3 years and a crapload of effort later, it managed to be half-decent. Keep at the music, playzooki - but, for the love of &*@#, don't charge for it! Get a Soundcloud and really put effort into your stuff, and then put your effort-filled stuff on the Soundcloud, get some feedback, work on the feedback, and keep working up until you've got enough material for an album. That way, not only do you make stuff that people want, but you're improving at the same time, and giving it away for free at the end of the day - and really, what's wrong with that?

Are the lyrics original or have they been sampled?

Sampled.

The sample song's here:

i dig this a lot! the sample is wonderful. the bass seems a little clippy but it might be what im listening to it on. keep it up dude!

Yeah, the bass is just one sample, so it shouldn't be clipping. Cheers, homeslice!

Sounds pretty good. I've already heard the stuff on your soundcloud, and I have to say I really like your music. Looking forward to hearing the rest of these tracks
Also, out of curiosity, what do you make your music with?

Always used FL10, just out of personal preference. FL11's good also, but Ableton and that Sony Acid thing just ain't for me.

Thanks to JonTron, I know where the album cover comes from

And thanks to a mixture of me being drunk and my previous record label being *&@}$, I used it as a cover.

Craig ships X-Terminator and Atomic.
What would that even be called?
A-Termic?
A-Tomicator?
X-Termonic?

Also the tracks look kind of exposed, apart from that it's a cool design though.

X-Tomic sounds cool.

Reminds me of Propellerhead, or a robot from the RW games. I'd personally make the bars longer, though.

Mostly "how the hell Emergency lose its bracket fight?"

that is probably the greatest question of all
No it's how Big Dog gets in the final rounds?  Has anyone else found him of bots to be in the finals most often.

The game doesn't actually simulate the 'other' fights, it's complete RNG on what AI get through.

Both of them look pretty swaggin'. I'd smalled the chassis on the SS and put more weapons on, though - flails don't really matter with BW's and AW's, it's mostly about the weapon weight.

yes indeed they are!

so i tried to make a raptor inspired flipper and ended up with this cute little guy who just can't seem to garner up enough strength to flip a single damned thing. shame. a lot of these motors are weaker than i expected them to be... i'm going to have to cut down a bit and add in a stronger burst and hopefully it makes a difference.

i have to wonder how people make all of these bots with spectacular extender work while staying within the rule of sevens and not going over weight. le sigh

(Image removed from quote.)

Y'know, that's something that's always pissed me off about DSL3 - The motors are too damn weak to pull anything off. NPC's are slow in HW bots, even with 4 or 6 of them, Burst motors can't lift anything, no matter how much battery power you give them, and.... uugh. I mean, I like the extenders and armour, but when you've got such -crippling- factors like the lack of any power to the motors... it's frustrating.

Staying within the rule of 7 whilst doing awesome-looking work is all a matter of practice, and trial-and-error. The amount of compremises I've had to make to my bots because of the stupidest bloody rule on the planet is insane.

I remember Max made a tutorial not so long ago. You have to build a tall chassis, put the motor in, then BFE it so the chassis goes below the motor. That's what I remember anyway.

Yup.
