My showcases are losing popularity. why? Made some improvements to my 6WD VS: 16 razors and a little more front protection, but now lacking wedge protection. It's more damaging and more stable, but sometimes not so accurate, and the weapon motors are still mounted on the wedge DDTs. Also: DSA, 2 small battery packs, 10 maces. I wanted to make another mace rammer, but this time I drew inspiration from Virus Bomb's LW rammer. It took me about 35 minutes to get the setup right. Was it worth it? I would say no, because it Havoks EVERYTIME I try to test it! *bashes computer screen*

Agreed that it was intense; I though I would go out but then the wall saved me :P
Good match Red!

Extender work could be better (just use one ME for each motor), and use Vlads for this instead of shinies. For armor, I would recommend 3mm plastic or 1mm titanium. If you have leftover weight, use it for more weapons. Overall, not bad for a first bot.

I definitely agree with you Urjak. Implementation of stock glitches, more and more part limitations, and even with Nar's v2.2 mod things are still not completely balanced; why even bother enforcing the "realistic rule" if there are so many exceptions nowadays. I think I'm, as Nary would put it, "BAWWWWing" too much, but that's how I feel, and yet I'm still building (possibly because I've had almost no stock ideas for quite a while).

March 14... wow it's been a year since I started building DSL already? Whatever, here's Iron Tumbleweed VI: NPC normals, 5mm plastic, everything else is visible. Took some time to make it fully invertible. It is now pretty much a small scale version of Volcanic Upbringing, much like when I first posted them. It does very well at countering wedges (while doing well against other bot designs, though the exposed top is sometimes its downfall), and is my first middleweight that can consistently beat Paper Cut 4. Also: I had to make some modifications on the front (I put a small wedge) and it managed to smash Iron Tumbleweed to pieces.
Cool, now let's see if it can smash this one to pieces.

The wheels on G.F. are incredibly exposed. Get rid of the typhoon spikes cause they have normals. You can make the chassis a bit smaller and drop the tit skirts for alu ones.
No, no, yes, and no!!! It would be better to get rid of 2 of the large black batteries (I think), and upgrade the flipper arms to steel.

I'd already figured that out, but I was too lazy to tell.
Also, the 2nd and 3rd HWs on Somebody's team have a misspelled drive analog (LeftRight).

For some reason it reminds me more of a push mower...

I personally don't like that you don't have very many weapons on this, and that those Vlad spikes aren't doing much, but yes; very original. Maybe replace the Vlad spikes with something else and use lighter drive motors (Slimbodies are the first thing to come to my mind) to add more weapons on the shell.

They all look nice.
For the 2-Mag spinner, I think you can use the remaining 2 kilos the strengthen the srimech extender, but that's just my thoughts.

I don't even have any good DSL MW SnS anyway, but I disagree that a certain bot design shouldn't be allowed unless some really good reasons are specified (yours are not very good reasons). The Idea behind this tournament is to get some creative looking Robot Designs, so some stipulations on your building will be put in place.
Oh sh**.

I also noticed that HNM 4 uses the Anarchist's Cookbook's skin.

Naryar modified and included some of Darkrat's custom components in his latest NAR AI patch (v2.2, full components and AI). The weapons I used are the Snow Leopard's Claws (modified version of the Panther Claws).

Annnnnnnnnnd DP. I couldn't help but notice how the panther claw was modified in NAR AI 2.2 (though I think it could be much more accurate :P), so I decided to use them in a design: 1mm titanium. It's an okay fighter, more of a NAR AI 1-level antweight; I think these weapons have normals, or something else in the .txt that's preventing them from doing damage, but I didn't seem to notice anything... maybe I'm looking at it wrong. And no it is not going into Combat Ants 2

I suppose, but I don't have much in the way of antweights. I'll probably just build something really quick and send it in; I might not need to spend much time on it anyway.
