I see no evidence that people do it out of spite. The only person to ever say this is you, Goldenfox. I think you're inventing excuses as to why your popularity isn't as high as it was once. That's just how it comes over.
I do have my reasons for thinking it's out of spite, actually- - I do realise that it was once overinflated. I can understand that. - Then, even after being put down to a reasonable degree (between 10-20 or so, might not be exact, particularly when it was once 40), it just kept. Going. Down. - Each time I tried to do things to fix it, it went up slightly, before going into inevitable decline when the jealous little sh**s find out. - And finally, as Scourge rightly pointed out earlier, the only reason they generally do it is out of spite. They want reactions. They want to see me pissed off. That's all. Regardless of what I do, they will always be there, watching my rep, and downrating if it goes up even once. And that's the thing. They're just jealous that I actually worked over a long period of time for that popularity, and then out of spite, they destroy it in one united movement. Because they couldn't accept a freak like myself having any form of popularity.

However, I do think that It'll be slightly more practical, encouraging people to put more thought into their rep giving/taking, rather than simply doing it out of admiration or spite.

Ya rly. And hence, why I said that people would then only want to rate if they actually wanted to do so, instead of simply doing it to get a reaction. People would also know who was doing it and why, hence they could actually learn from their mistakes, instead of inquistioning about it, and therefore getting downrated even more. The current system is pretty much just a vicious circle really, and I want to change that.

I thought about installing a mod where each post can be rated.....but I am dealing with a forum full of idiots and the rating will take up more room than the post!
Hence, why I figured that It'd be a bit more practical to have a little window pop up in the corner of the screen when on GTM when rep is altered. Inspired by Windows XP nagware, but a lot more practical and less annoying, methinks.
Also a lot harder to create and install *nods*
However, I do think that if we can crack how to do it, it'll be a good asset for GTM in the future. What do you think of the concept, 'CAMS?

Also something to take into consideration. Either that, or a system that notifies people about rep, who did it, and why. So for instance, let's say I discovered RA2's source code whilst working on a Flipper from the North. I share it, my rating goes up. This happens in the bottom corner of the screen-
"Your rep has gone up.
Raised by- Hydro/SOTG
For- Discovering Source Code and being all-round cool guy"
