I agree it's a little too tall, this one is just relying on the skin this time :frown:

I used the same photo as the comparison one I posted. and using Paint Shop Pro 7 (aka Vintage PSP :P), I scaled, skewed and manipulated the photo until I got the right angles and such for each side of the body. tbh its not as good as it could be, i'm limited by the .tga having to be 256x256, but it's something I enjoy doing, and honestly would like to help others with skinning their replicas

5mm Plastic armour, and pretty much everything is visible. Wasn't much I could actually play about with regarding the internals, hence my cannon-fodder ambitions.

My second replica, Raizer Blade

Based on the Series 3 appearance:

And quite possibly my entry into the Replica Wars 2, presumably going in there as utter cannon fodder.

@Everyone: Thanks for the comments :)

@Badnik96: Is there a thread for this, as i'm certainly interested, although I know nothing about it.

@Naryar: lurked for maybe a week before signing up, had to make sure it was worth it ;)

First time attempting a replica, so here goes. Presenting DIOTOIR!

3mm Ti. Based on the Robot Wars series 3, 4 and Extreme 1 version.  May submit this for Thyrus' Middleweight pack too, but much like the actual robot its performance is somewhat suspect

I'll definately try to get something submitted for this, sounds fun.

It seems way too obvious now it's said out loud. D'oh. But yes, I did try the larger motors, but I was only able to fit one in the same space. I dont know if 2 small = 1 Large in terms of performance, so I stuck with two.

And yes, Thyrus seems to be on the same wavelength when it comes to robot designs. :)

Right off the bat, all my images are clickable thumbnails, just to save on anyone opening this thread and having tons of big images to load.
Having taken in all the comments, suggestions, and opinions, i'm still keeping the bodyshape, as I want to keep the "Robot Wars" look to it. Not saying that the efficient bots are bad, but they just don't float my boat at all. Hard to give a robot any personality when its made of extenders and ti sheets. :P However, internals I can certainly take advice on, hence:

- Saws on the back have gone, although ideally i'd like for there to be something similar on the bot at some point, just for the damaging ability.
- Flipper has been upgraded from the Mag Snappers to the smaller version of the JX burst motors.
- 2WD NPCFast/Techno drive, but is there any explanation for why these make the bot faster than say Tornado's or Vlad's?
- Armour upgraded to 10mm Ti, can't remember what it was before (definately not DSA though)
- Made sure the flipper pieces are angled to get under more, same with the additional skirts. May not have been visible but on the original the mis-matched tires put the chassis at a slight angle to the ground.
- Batteries have been re-done. I've gone for extra power than is needed by the motors and bursts because I have the weight. Speaking of which, 58.9kg to play with, any suggestions?

I've had RA2 for 3 months now. I build robots, I try to build them with some personality, i'm not a big one for the uber-bots that are "realistic" but honestly are totally unrealistic and are just for pure damage. I like many people try to make robots that could exist in real life.

So onto my first robot, Ratt-E:

Quite nippy, decent flipper that can OOtA quite easily, with the saws mainly used for invertibles. 3mm Titanium armour, and a decent allrounder.
