there were several bots on an episode of "auction hunters", entitled "battle bought". i saved some screencaps of them here:

Well no wonder why Eye-Poker was so crap. Could they not get better drive?

But cool.

dude its internals are shown in the game's opening picture things how did you not know that

I thought that was Setinel's internals.

nah, it's eye poker's. sentinel is next to it, though.

nice!

IMO, Diesector's plow and lifter is no different than No Apologies' bizarre welded cage that it used against Son of Whyachi or all those times builders have padded their robots with wood/rubber when fighting a spinner.
T-Minus used an extended flipping arm to beat Hazard in the same season. If it goes with the rules, it's okay.

two other builders and i were doing a live facebook discussion.

i will have to say, it could've been a lot worse. probably the only redeeming factor aside from the bots was hal sparks. he looked like he was having a lot of fun while on set.

as far as robot combat representations in pop culture goes, zoey 101 is probably the worst IMO

716
oh and TERRORHURTZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why did you not go farther in series 7
i mean he won the competition the year afterwards and couldnt even compete
/ rant

sadly that's the way events work.

don hutson is probably the most photogenic builder of all time. i honestly owe a lot to him, he got me interested in the sport (well him and jonathan ridder of ziggo fame).

he did what he did to win. it was within the rules and didn't violate anything (I also consider it to be one of diesector's best, if not the best match). let's face it, everyone would've done the same thing if they were in his position.

Im going to mention Gamma Raptor and Dr Inferno Jr appearing on Disney's absolute horror of a show Lab Rats. To this day one of the saddest things Ive seen on tv.

gonna be honest, "the merchant of menace" was a great bot name. so was "josh" for some reason.

I found this like 4 months ago but forgot to post it.

The article in question was about CAD and similar programs for dreaming up robots.

well there are people from battlebots that weren't televised that still compete

Any names come to mind?

EDIT: Blazin it

Here's what I know:

Ray Billings had a lightweight and middleweight, and still has Last Rites, Great Pumpkin, and a feather called Suitcase Nuke.
Jim Iocca built "Golem" and occasionally competes (he's also a judge and safety inspector).
The team that built Deb Bot and Matts Bammer still compete with ants and beetles.
I think Jim Smentowski still comepetes with Shazbot, and is also a judge.
Rob Farrow (of Death by Monkeys and Silverback/The Killa Gorilla) runs events in Seattle and has a bot for one of his kids.
Jerome Miles, who built Knome/Knome II had a 30 pound version of Hyperactive that went to Motorama 2014.
Al Kindle, who has been with the sport since '96 (I believe), is probably going to compete at Franklin 2014.
