If you wrote your own tactics in the AI.py, you could do rudimentary regular and also '180' driving, and switch back and forth...

Hal, before you cause another 12 pages of spam posts.....
To host a tourney, you must: -Establish your trustworthiness on GTM. -Know how to AI bots (fairly well). -List the Rules (in detail) -Have a bracket schema. -Check with ACAMS -and lastly read this: https://gametechmods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1053 Keep building bots, help others hosting, contribute and learn. So no posting crap. Ok, dude? We'll see.... . 685
Modifications / Green custom component problem« on: August 23, 2009, 04:03:08 PM »Quote from: JoeBlo;61194 changedJoe, -If it has a *GEOMETRY_PROXY_NAME, then the SIMULATION_GEOMETRY should be "3". -If it does NOT have a *GEOMETRY_PROXY_NAME "(Null)", then the SIMULATION_GEOMETRY should be "2". There are a couple other combos, but that's all you need for this app right now. Wheels are very hard to work with sometimes... . 686

><
From my work, I'm not sure the newer models are any more stable or reliable....since 'Standards' have been now lowered,...if not removed totally. Thus they're very high-maintenance. They make sure their paint job is nice, but they rarely look at the more important equipment inside that actually enables them to function/dys-function as a vehicle. (That goes for pink and blue models.....) 687

Arrows and Space, usually. (Depends what else needs to be controlled.)

Give 'em some Ex-Lax and he could have a job at Home Depot. I once saw a cat do that, when a large Doberman woke it up.... 689

In the Materials section at the top of the gmf, check *MATERIAL_TRANSPARENCY (between 0 and 1). 2. In the RigidBody section at the bottom of the gmf, check to see if the geometry and display proxies are right (if used): *SIMULATION_GEOMETRY 3 *GEOMETRY_PROXY_NAME (something_collision) *USE_DISPLAY_PROXY 0 (or 1) *DISABLE_COLLISIONS 0 *INACTIVE 0 *DISPLAY_PROXY_NAME (null) (or something_display) If you still can't get it IM it over to me and I'll loook at it... . 691
General Support / GMF Tools wont work« on: August 22, 2009, 06:19:55 AM »
Wham, On Serge's compiler's produced files, you need to click on the name to edit, and then write after it's name at the end "xxxxx.gmf". Then you can work with it.
As far as Dummie's, you might try a new, fresh d/l version of the compiler. How's the arena work going. Like to see what you're building, when you're able..... 692

Post which Tutorial(s) you would most like to see.
-You can vote in several categories. -Some of the Tutorials may be in a Video format. :-D -Note: "Understanding:" category means learning about a certain 'part' of the game (learning gmf stuff, or learning py coding,...). "Task:" category means "How to do a specific tweak" (which usually involves more than one 'part' of the game; like adding a hazard is both gmf and py work). . . You can also post any new suggestions here in this thread. . 696
Discussion / When Did You First Hear About RA2?« on: August 17, 2009, 09:58:31 PM »Quote from: ACAMS;60202 I just started, but I have a bot that can almost beat Emergency!ACAMS, you should not post here, cause you're 'off topic'. You should start your own showcase (once you get better). And you shouldn't brag about your "Awesomebot1" beating Emergency,... else you'll get flamed real quickly around here (just ask Venko). And also you're lucky Naryar isn't around to see all of that wasted space in your bot. BTW: Beware of the owner of this site... Y'all bess not cross 'em. My son intro-ed the game to me.... . 697

Maxine's input (appended by moi):
"Everyone concentrates on the problems we're having in this country lately: illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida, Congress out of control ..." ![]() "Not me. I concentrate on solutions for the problems. It's a win-win situation: + Have the Congressmen get off their butts, and do some real work by digging a moat along the Mexican border. + Send the moat dirt to New Orleans to raise the level of the levies. + Put the Florida alligators in the moat along the Mexican border. + All hourly-wage profits they themselves earn for digging, would be sent to 'bail out' irresponsible big-businesses, so they can leave our tax money to benefit us, the people.Any other problems you would like for me to solve today?" 699
General Support / Battery Stacking Help« on: August 12, 2009, 06:05:24 PM »
Those are 2 good ways.
Another way: If you want to use BFE, (1) just put your regular batt where it should be in the bot, and then (2) add an ant battery anywhere else it will fit. (3) Then open the bot file to the ant batt, and change both the file address and the XYZ coordinates to match the first desired batt. Save and open up with stacked batts. . 700

^^Hehe^^, Wouldn't doubt that at all, Serge.
BTW: I did get your IM-ed Python inquiry. Check the py docs I gave you already; don't remember the exact question, but I think it's already in there. I'll get back with you soon. Just that work is never-ending this month... If you desire to and can, Serge, you can hack away at explaining some of the other GMF topics listed above (or add some more topics)... :) 'Dziekuje', Serge. *hope it's spelled right and didn't say something nasty* |
