BORING RULES:
-Ironforge, standard building style, HW
-No cheatbot parts, custom parts, etc.
-Multibots are allowed, but they must both follow all the building rules (that is, each half is a Mr. Bones)
-SnS are not allowed
-Crawlers are not allowed
-BOTS MUST SHOW CONTROLLED MOVEMENT
-No BFE, AAM, EXP, or whatever other crazy acronym you guys use
-Rule of 7 break is allowed, other SergePatcher features are not
-Arena will be the Ring Arena, 3 minute matches
-If a bot gets thrown off of the arena, it loses, regardless of whether RA2 decides to end the match or not
-Double elimination bracket, best of 1 matches (may increase to best of 3 if very few people enter)
-Unlimited entrants, one bot per person
-Havok rule: The standard "1 havok = reset, 2 havok = disqualified" kinda thing
-I reserve the right to disqualify any bot

THE GIMMICK:
-All bots must be built from the chassis of the original Mr. Bones' Wild Ride, which you can download here.
-Nothing on this chassis may be changed, with the following exceptions:
-You may re-angle his arms, as long as each arm consists of one 80-cm light extender and one 45-degree angle for a shoulder
-You may change the skin (but why would you want to?  It's already perfect)
-You may add as many components as you like (up to the weight limit), including baseplate components.

MY ROBOT:
-I will enter with Bonechill:

TL;DR:
Clone Clash but with memes.

Signups will close on October 19th, at 4:20 PM (UTC-05:00).

Custom Components Showcase / Thrackerzod is bad at Retooled
« on: September 28, 2016, 07:53:44 AM »
So I did the most logical thing to do when playing a new mod:

(forgot to put on splash but it's just under 800 kgs)

There's one tiny problem with it though:

Come to think of it, I don't really need the servo, since the hovercraft should be able to rotate in place anyway.

A few updates later, and:

Version on the left is CW for GTM Robot Wars, version on the right is HW for Sword of Glory.

It's not exactly the most maneuverable robot.  I have extenders all over the wheels because they seem to provide a bit of traction, but they also make starting up from not moving more difficult.  I donno.

It's here!

Man, this was from before I knew about heavier parts with normals being OP in DSL 2.2.  Even then, I think Wen and I have a good chance in our first match on weapon count alone.

Best team is probably The Unknown Quantity because Mechavore disk + frenZy hammers.

Is each person only allowed one bot, or can we enter more than one?  I ask because 36 seems like a high target to hit at one apiece.

I now have a great idea for a 180° hammer.
You should put a flamethrower on the hammer.

Some stuff, hopefully for Rob's thing:

Undercutter.  Has magmotor drive and double-magmotor for the spinner.

Bet you can't guess which robot from Battlebots this is based on!
Has Perm-128 for the bar and magmotor drive I think.  Had to use CF to get the motor axle to intersect the front plates like that.

And for the main attraction:

BTH has had a number of minor improvements since 2nd Chance.  I downgraded the back armor (since it never got hit anyway) to get some more weight.  I added another air tank so hopefully the flamethrower can last all 3 minutes, and kinda improved the front wedge?  Controversially, I've also CF'ed the flamethrower inside the hammer, to make it more similar to the real Blacksmith.

Any suggestions before I send them off?

Unfortunately,  the original Mr. BONES is DSL, and this is Rettoled or Ironforge only. :)

False.  The original Mr. Bones is Ironforge.  Bonemera was DSL.

This is a bit later than I meant to post this because I fell asleep, oops.

I have one video left, but first, I'd like to do a bit of a wrap-up on the tournament.  I got less entrants than I was hoping for, but I had fun doing it and I hope you enjoyed watching.  I don't plan to forget the "controlled movement" rule again anytime soon though.

Alright, I'd also like to do some awards.  Not going to have any that you need to vote on (since I doubt many people would), so just going to have my awards for this tournament:
HOSTS' FAVORITE: Hydrating Volvic Revive-orators
MOST ACCURATE TEAM THEME: Godwin's Lawyers
BEST TEAM THEMED ON THE GAME ILLBLEED: Toy Hunters
BEST TEAM THEMED ON LITERATURE: Dystopiacs
BEST TEAM BUILT BY A FORMER DYNAMIC DUOS HOST: The Raze Clerk Lids
BEST TEAM THEMED ON A STOCK RA2 TEAM: North Polers
BEST TEAM THAT DIDN'T ACTUALLY COMPETE IN THE TOURNAMENT: Enemies of Burnt Face Man

Alright, let's finish this thing off right:

Cave Johnson.  We're done here.

When's the deadline?  I definitely want to enter, but I've been a bit slammed lately.
