don't razors actually HAVE normals in ironforge ?
Nope, they're the only weapon (Other than Beater Bars and hammers) to not have normals. Anyway, fixed up Tyga - it can now beat every single bot in Ironforge, and is -very- destructive. 124.4, with wider wheels, a new weapon setup, and Aluminium 5. Coupled with it's previous incarnation, I have now re-made and re-mastered this bot 17 times.

It looks cool but I'm pretty damn sure battleaxes have normals.
Yeah - didn't really think that one through. Thought all weapons in Ironforge had normals, until I remembered Razors don't. Well, back to the drawing board with me. The angled connectors seem like a weak link in your weaponry.
'Twas the only way to get the normals of the battleaxes to attack the opponent robot when on top of the jugglers. Might be resolved by using razors, though.

There's a gap in the middle where it isn't protected, perhaps this is why all but one AI bot can defeat it?
The weapons spin fast enough to deflect any blows. You'd have to deweapon the bot first, which is what Red Crab does.
Ahh, sorry dude, couldn't see the weapon motors in the splash you provided :s
Yeah man, it's a Juggler - y'know, I've never seen you make a Juggler before. Give it a shot, ey?

I tried re-making my Tiger Lily bot in IronForge. This was the result. Fun fact: This bot took 14 re-builds to perfect. Can beat all bots in the LW category, apart from Red Crab, oddly. I also learnt that Ironforge is like a miniature version of Stock, in terms of motors. Thanks to Tibsy, 090901, and Mr. AS for teaching me how to skin properly!

Alright, cheers Tibsy! With your help, and a bit of my own thinking, I got around it. Check my Ironforge showcase in 5 minutes to see the results! Cheers, y'all!
(Someone give Tibsy a +1 on that rep thingy, I can't give/take rep for some reason.)

Ah, its easy my friend!
Step 1) Export skin: (Image removed from quote.)
Step 2) Tick this box: (Image removed from quote.)
Step 3) Happy Editing!: (Image removed from quote.)
For HD skins, use these dimensions - 2048x2048 (I credit Lemonism for helping me with that)
So, doing this exports the skins at a higher resolution? To me, the skin still looks pixelated upon export.

Any way to make RA2 produce a template skinning file that isn't so useless!?
Can you show me what you're doing that's annoying you? o.O
Pressing this button results in a UV map that looks like this: Which is way too small to look any good. What I wanna know is how to upscale this into 1024X1024, without getting any of the green border showing on the skin.

Are you supposed to use Stock armours, or DSL Armours? If it's DSL Armour, I've been using the wrong values all along.

Wouldn't adding more robots mean you have to modify each arena so that robots don't get stuck in each other at the start?
Oh yeah, wouldn't you need to edit the arena files for the spawn points?
Absolutely, yes - but from what I've heard, spawn points aren't too difficult to add.

Phoo... Really impressive. Do those spikes on the back hinder self-righting?

So I was just dicking around in the RA2.cfg, And EventNumBots supports values higher than 4. Does this mean it's possible to load more than 4 bots at a time into vanilla RA2, possibly by adding a new game mode (such as Custom in DSL2) that supports this?

Your designs are freakin' insane, man. You're probably my favourite DSL builder right about now.

Tibsy called, he wants his latest bot back.
Yeah, there was inspiration from Tibsy's bot. However, I think I made enough differences to make it it's own thing.
