It's Friday the Thirteenth! Oh no! Everybody, we're all doomed! Doomed I tell you, DOOOOOOOMED!!!
Apart from that, have a happy and frickin' normal Friday.
Rangers got demoted to the Third Division today. I approve.

Why are there two backslashes after "opener"? And the @ symbol? I've never seen a computer file laid out in that fashion, it's almost always been alhpanumeric for me. But you can't have backslashes in a file name, so that might be the problem there. Or the ".cfz" in the file directory, I told you to remove the full stop before, because that completely screws up the file extension.

*Rustled jimmies* Noodle's trolling is only successful when you do this. Stop it.
I just give him a -1 when he does stuff like that. You need to realise that Noodle only does this because he has no friends. =P

So a section where only AUs can post? What would be the point of that?
No, nonono. AU in this instance means AceUplink, the forums that existed before Gametechmods. I think he wants to restore it so that we can browse around and see what it was like there, but I'm not too sure how that would work. Maybe everything got erased when the domain name went down, I wouldn't be too surprised if that happened.

There's no specific time given for the end of signups, it just says "on the 13th of July". It could be when he gets online, if could be midnight in whatever time zone he's in. I normally go by midnight the day before (00:00 on the deadline, in other words), just to err on the side of caution a little. But it's his decision when to close signups today.

So yesterday I saw this: Well since nfx made a hs/fs hybrid, i thought i'd find a way to remake Zealot with hpzes. Zealot 2 (Image removed from quote.) (Image removed from quote.) 396.6 with plastic, 402.9 with dsa 1 black Any ideas how to lose weight? 2 nifties and a smaller chassis is 2 kgs heavier than what I have now(17.5kgs)
And I decided to return the favour. 398.7, 1 Black, DSA. Havoks a little if it turns too quickly, which could probably be sorted with a reasonable AI line. Not tested invertibility yet, but it'll obviously be compromised with the FS on the front. I can't remember if Snapper-bursted Z-Teks are as fast as HPZ's either, but they're fast enough, I reckon. I'm more pleased with it than the previous version.

What you could do is attach the drive by 20cm's as opposed to 40cm's to the side AP instead of the rear, and rotate them three clicks down so that it's still got one side flat against the ground. Not really too sure how else you could save weight on that one, but it's a very nice looking machine. Great work, as always.

Very nice. Do the flails spin around at all?

The reason it won't drive straight is because the motors are somehow above the chassis. I could just rebuild the whole thing a notch downwards, and that would help the driving and such. Could also expand the chassis as much as possible to perhaps solve the havok. In the meantime, two new bots. First, a rebuild of Paradox a few pages back. 2 Blacks, DSA. I forget the exact weight. All built from a SnapperII, opponents occasionally get stuck on the casters, but it works very well apart from that. DDT wedge, Snapper2's for the weapons, which are actually 6 razors that look like four due to the eFFeing. And a FS/Popup hybrid. 799.9, DSA, 2 Blacks. only 2 razors on each Snapper2, but the reach is a bit too low, so they don't come into play too often. Wedges seem decent, FS weapons do their job very well. Not sure about self-righting. I might be able to save 4kg somewhere to get a longer reach on the popup weapons.

Only 1 ant motor, even for the drum? Surprising.
Is trying to make that arm a srimech a bit of a lost cause? Seems completely the wrong shape. I might just rebuild it to be invertible.
A single JX Burst won't be enough to self-right a HW bot. Good job building to the weight limit, though. And most newcomers tend to overdo it on the batteries, but as JD said, every spin motor requires 1 ant to fully power it for 3 minutes. Burst motors require more, I'm not 100% sure on the values, but BSG's require 2.5 ants each, Small and Large JX need 5 and 7 respectively, and Betas either need 14 or 21, I can never remember. You could probably get away with the tall battreies for Beta Bursts if you need them. As a general rule, though, you should build the chassis around the components, rather than the components around the chassis. A little bit of planning beforehand, and knowing what you want to build can help a lot when your skill level begins to increase.

It sounds like it's trying to overwrite the setup files with the uncompiled files while setup is still happening. Try saving the decompiler or whatever in a different folder, then uncompile to the "cfz stuff" folder.

Built something to wake me up this morning. 395.9, 2 Nifties, DSA. Setup's solid, but it havoks a bunch for some reason. And it won't drive straight. Not too happy about that, will be rebuilding it at some stage.

Looks like a Stock style of building. All small and compact. But I imagine it might actually do okay, it looks reasonably compact. Depends on how effectively it can get under opponents, though.

That crocodile is utterly mad. I must attempt to build one now, only with wheels. It would be even better if the tail were to swing both ways as well.

Remove the "." in its name. Windows files have a ".<file extension>" directory, and a "." in the file name completely screws it up. Just call it "cfz stuff", without the full stop.

Looking very nice indeed. Not too sure about improvements short of reskinning wheels, other than trying to get the side panels on the back to line up a bit better.

Press 'E' to...wait... how'd you do that?! - Flip over Hammer of Justice onto it's back.
I have ALMOST done that. There was a video somewhere of Pyramid Scheme flipping HoJ upwards, but not quite enough to flip it over properly.

Reduce the length of the blades on the wedged by about 40cm or so. Opponents aren't going to hit them too far up, so there's no need for protection there. That'll net you 108kg, so 54kg for each side. A BA+Ramplate leaves 30kg, which I'm not too sure what you could use for. Maybe some R4 Ears, or a small Parabolic Trajectory style wamming rack.
