A lot of people are reporting a quick fix to this.
Go to your main RA2 folder. Find the file named "ra2.cfg" (make sure it's not ra2.cfz).
Right-click > edit with notepad.
Find the line "fullscreen = 1" (should be the second one down).
Change it to "fullscreen = 0"
Let me know if that works for you.

I am having an Issue, I have downloaded and extracted the files as stated above however when I go to launch the .exe the game instantly crashes. I am running windows 7 64bit. is this a comparability Issue or am I missing a step?
Sometimes you can't run the game in full screen. Go into the main folder and find the file called ra2.cfg (make sure it's NOT the one labeled RA2.CFZ). Right click and edit with notepad. Find the line called Fullscreen = 1, and change it to Fullscreen = 0. (This should be the second line down). Save, and try opening RA2 again. EDIT: wow i got ninja'd by Webster.

Download the version you want (NerdCubed played DSL 2.1) and then extract the files from the .Rar file using WinRar :)

You shouldn't have to lose your invertibility. If you are, your setup is poor. Try using the other attachment point on the snapper to mount your drive, it might help with the havok. General rule of thumb though, if you have spinning weapons spinning on the same axis or rotation as the mount (servo, snapper, etc) you're going to have havok.

Are there any contests for robots that use the default components but are built outside of the BotLab? I recently learned how to battery stack. It is time consuming. Robots built outside of the BotLab would be more interesting and quicker to make. It would bring the robots to a new level.
Sometimes BOTM would feature "anything-goes" rules where people could use BFE and AAM to build whatever they wanted. Howver, not enough members are skilled enough for us to host a full fledged contest.

I think the MW would work well as an anti-hs, but not as much else.
nah HS will ruin his day as well. hammers stink in anything but heavyweight, and even there you need a caster armor front to be effective, and a strong drive train.
