Well team 4's bot was made by me, so i'm guessing not Team 4 :p

662
Just to alleviate my worries, is Team 3's Green Machine 3 an actual lightweight, or a middleweight as the splash shows?

Just to double-check something - King Mushroom is entering Panic Attack, which is already in DSL 2.1. However, is this a previous version of the bot (aka the original), and thus considered 'different' and a valid entry, or is this an oversight of some sort?

Utter wedgie, with a row of beater bars to damage bots going over the top. Utterly boring but it's somewhat different.

The reason this mouse is psychotic is that it looks just as much like a shark. :rage

Same boat as NFX, if me and Vertigo lose thats the perfect smack-talk vengeance battle right there. Firestorm Vs the Fire Brigade.
But I don't see that happening ;)

I'd glady fight you though Thyrus, best replica my ass  :yaya)

I did the paintjob on S_M's robot, and to be honest, I find the spinners a little bit slow for my liking.

Yours potentially could do more damage, but the reach on them is quite low... I reckon you'd be second in that fight though.

Eric 2, based off the Robot Wars Series 3 and 4 competitor. More of an Iron Awe style flipper bot than the original lifter/crusher, but still got that funky flame livery.  :approve:

I go away for one day and there's 2 new pages, what the heff?

Right off the bat:

Yes, it's a geared Beta motor, not the flipper. 14 ant batteries to overpower the bot (I always try to include more batteries as necessary in my designs. I'm not one for weak bots at the 2 minute mark.)

- Wheels changed from minis to hypnos
- Spikes changed from 'generic' to Lightnings.

Weight is now 764.2, which is where I think it will stay unless there is a solid idea for what could be done with that weight.

Also, MW version made. 30Kg hammer on a 120cm poly extender makes for a rough ride :P

Based on the modern day Thor (aka the super-powerful hammer bot), with retro styling.

80% of the time when people predict my bots "will go far" they don't :P

Naryar's bot will WIN OURIGHT  ;)

672
I think I went _way_ too conservative with my bot :/

Powered steering units = ABSOLUTE FAILURE in DSL 2.1 and Stock

Though I should really power them up.
Once again, not used for "ultimate combat effectiveness omg", just trying to stay authentic to the inspiration. ;)

Some updates:

- iNVASION is being reworked to fix the spacing and just generally improve it.
- Discus has reverted to the first incarnation.
- Duohurtz has the skirts removed now, and the steering motor does fail, but it's authentic :yaya)

NEW BOT! :rage

Started as a ripoff of WhamettNuht's Hunter, then I toyed with the rear of it a bit... and it ended up as this. Has a very concealed beaterbar weapon at the front, and a rotating bar at the back next to the exhausts. But this is ALL about the look :p

Instead of having a solid color, you might want to try a pattern instead.

If i had the ability to use a 512x512 .tga instead of just a 256x256, i'd try to give it a finish similar to Cerberus from RW S3. at the lower res though it just looks too blotchy :/

But elsewhere, two new bots have appeared!

Similar to the original Panic Attack, I wanted to try and make a simple, uncomplicated bot that was just sturdy and dependable. Also, i'm unsure how exactly I got the chassis this low in the botlab, but it runs inverted too! On hypnos! but from there it cannot self right so the flipper becomes redundant.

Having never built a bot using the steering motor, I paid homage to one of the most famous bots to use the 'car-steering' style, Killerhurtz.Wishing I could have made the front wedge more in style with the bot though.

Mauler looks amazing. I might get shot for this, but I think Discus looks quite good as is. All shiny and pristine and such.

Shinier and more pristine :P

After 2 weeks of starting a new job, I'm finally getting back to a decent creative mindset. So presenting two new bots.

Flipper is accessorised with small beater bars to try and add a little Maulerness to that weapon, and to give it some damage capability. Can move inverted, but can't self-right right on its back, and the flipper becomes a naff hammer ;)

No paintjob yet as i'm toying with ideas for it, but a bot with a lovely big set of .... spinners. Sure she has a wonderful personality too. :yaya)
