Surely that needs stabilizers?
And remember, one ant per spin motor!

Yes but it would be best to have one more just in-case, so 4 should be enough.
I'd rather have more weaponry to score a KO faster TBH.
Still, that many is certainly a few too many.

« on: August 07, 2011, 04:56:50 PM »
when I axle load I put a rad on an extender on the motor. then I snapper load the rad out, remove the rad and extender, attach the wheel/whatever, spin the motor slightly to get the wheel out of the way and switch tabs.
Exactly what I do.
Same thing, except usually with an astro in DSL.

Titanium 5, 2 NPC fasts, a castor for bottom protection, 4 ants, 2 perm 132s and 320KG of weaponry.
Enigma Juggler. :gawe:
No.....just.....no.....

Correct, it's a HS-juggler.
I think titanium 3 is ideal personally, plastic 3 is a tad too little IMO. Anyway, I can't think of much to do with the little amount of weight i'd save by downgrading the chassis armour...

The look of the wedges ruin it for me personally.
Why don't you use cooler looking weapons than small DS teeth anyway?

Other Tutorials / Re: HAX MODE REVEALED - Your Guide to Superstacking
« on: August 07, 2011, 07:52:12 AM »
From what I can tell, there seems to be a limit of components you can have on for hax mode to work fully, when I built my haxmode pop up, I found I had to delete some things before it would let me stack all the DDTs into each other like I wanted.

Also, random thing which i've just remembered, hax mode doesn't work if you've attatched the piston to another motor.

But it does work if you attach the piston to a SmartZone. =D Which really helps with the tiny chassis's and such.
Yeah, I think it's just when it's on a moving component, it must mess up the....thing....that happens....I really don't get why hax mode works XD
One other thing, I'm not 100% sure, but I think you also need to have the axle itself inside the chassis
Nope. Axle can be attached to the SmartZone too. =) But make sure you don't attach it to the central point, because you can't actually select it if you do.
Fair enough, never tried it in a smartzone TBH

Well found DSC.

And I have seen that UI before actually, I could've sworn Kill uses it as well?

You haven't failed that badly, but well done on not actually leaving. (plus, DSL is more my area, so, i am pleased...)

Anyway, one thing that you need to know in DSL, for any spin motor, you only need one ant battery to fully power it.
Yep, that's every spin motor, so even that dual perm only needs one ant. As such, this bot only needs 3 ant battery's to fully power it.

This doesn't apply to burst motors though, just for reference, you need: 2.5 ants to power a BSG, 5 for a small JX, 7 for a large JX, and 21 for a spring loaded beta burst motor.

For drive, i'd say slimbodies aren't very usefull all round, for this kind of design, you're probably best of using astroflights here, simply because you don't need much speed, similair to shell spinners.
Also, as far as wheels are concerned, yellow buzzards aren't that good, you're better off using hypnos here.

Discussion / Re: Your tactic to stacking two blacks?
« on: August 07, 2011, 06:30:23 AM »
Yeah, I started using NFX's method a couple of months back, and it helps a LOT.
On more difficult stacks, it can also help to delete the first placed component, and re atatching it turned 90 degrees round.
Another thing that helps is if you have that little bit of room to, place the first component so it's not right up against an edge or another component, just  because it'll obviously stop you getting that little bit of offset you need to let you stack.
