Trinity force has a little brother that will probably meet the same fate..
![]() My main concern is the stabiliser flipper segments look a little flimsily attached, but good ole rule o' 7 prevents me from doing anything about it. The weapon is a little fragile too, but hey. 663

I expect I could whip something up.
Or Acaciabot might return for another tourney :D 664

The current VS Lord has spoken.
Imo people should learn to build DSL standard first, not to amazing levels but in doing so it will improve your IRL building by a great deal. Even more so if you balance the two fairly well. With a good grasp on both you can make really good stuff- it's why Scrap and his 2nd account (ancient pun incoming) VB are pretty much the IRL gods at the moment. 666

So, does this mean VS with fragile stabilisers? So no silly dual perm VS/HS? 667

I mean, I filmed that thing like 15 times because, he would knock off one of your hammers, you would knock off his disc, pin, the end. If you really want me to... nah Rocketturtle vs ty's shw instead :P 668

IRL will most definitely be frowned upon.
Just putting that out there before somebody goes and builds an IRL flipper and gets trashed in 10 seconds. 672

Post the bindings- omni starts spinning as the match starts, so it must be something in there.

Yay Nar AI 3
Hell, might start building the new version of The Large Hardon Collider...and if you're lucky you might get Fez2themax. More you do this the more likely I will, since builders block and whatnot. 674

Looks alright, how does it do? 677

What these guys said, and the only way they can be effective is against bots that aren't invertible using the newest Flipper.py- but with lots of invertible bots and bots that can self right if you tip them (gyroing, srimechs etc.) it's not really reliable any more.

General Support / Re: Frenzy.py (and THZ.py) Help« on: May 22, 2013, 11:12:00 AM »I spaced them correctly for DSL 3; it crashes the game. Nah, that shouldn't be the problem, I've got other bots in DSL3 that I've AI'd with a similar spacing and they're fine. Though it might just be one comma in the wrong place or something silly like that I haven't picked up on. Normally is. 679
DSL TC Showcases / Re: S.H.I.E.L.D's failcase« on: May 22, 2013, 10:39:06 AM »
Personally I'd say it's a little overkill, just enough to make them fly around the arena would be better, could use the additional weight for more armour, batteries for longetivity, or aesthetics.

Okay guys, little old me has gotten rusty with adding bits to AI lines.
This probably concerns the same bot :P Code: [Select] list.append(("[name]","ElectricHammer",{'SwingTime':4,'nose':math.pi','StartAngle':math.pi,'NoChassisTime':4,'range':99,'radius':0.1,'topspeed':100,'throttle':130,'turn':60,'turnspeed':3,'weapons':(18,19)})) 4 spaces, blargh blargh, definitely the AI line because I #'d it and the game worked fine like that. Just want to get it fixed before the tweaking occurs to maximise performance. |
