Nothing insane about it.  This is quite normal when you try to put flame on flail on spin motors.

Yes, when considering that you WIN if your chassis actually dies, why would you not want a giant exposed chassis with plastic 1 with it?

If only there's an AI that can properly point weapons mounted on a servo........

Can you use this Nightmare Disc GMF?  Cuz the one one was so obviously broken.

Sounds like battle of the flippers, but I might send something else.

Although that is A LOT of matches to film.  Considering that just 1 weight class 16 bots can easily take up to a entire month, I suggest doing 1 weight class at a time.

My Tournament, My rules. No offence. I don't want too many entries from United Kingdom. Otherwise the World Championship is full of them.
Not really- in fact, it divides it up a bit, since they're all technically their own countries.
Don't like the rules?  Don't enter, that's all I gotta say.
I'm not protesting against the rules- just asking on behalf of a few others whether each nation of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) could be represented individually.

I'm going to side with Jonzu here, personally. The UK was used in World Championships 2 and 3, plus - I know there aren't four members from each country, but four each from Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland rather defeats the purpose of it being a WORLD Championship. Besides, there's two other tournaments for you to enter if you happen to miss out.
Well, good luck filling up all 16 slots with rules like that....

There's a good chance he might just get stuck at 13 - 14.

As stupid as the name technicality rule is and how it excludes entries past 4 per country, you can't make him accept any entry.

...can it move? :P
just about :P

it didn't seem to make much of a difference with 2wd though
It shouldn't unless you put both wheels on the same side.

Wait, they couldn't just turn different directions?
The wheel on the other side would just fight the whole torque reaction anyway, so speed won't really increase cuz it has to keep adjusting.  You need both wheels on the same side so it moves forward by hitting forward.

This setup doesn't seem capable of de-weaponing shell or FSnS though.

you guys do realize that if he's serious about weapon weight, he needs to free up 180kg right?

Yes, a VS like that needs about 320kg weapons nowadays.

and then i thought it was a HS that can transform into a VS

i am disappoint
I thought that too.
Both look good but very SnS vulnerable with such weak disks.
lol it doesn't matter if the disks has 20,000 HP, this bot shape would get owned by FSnS anyway.

Besides, titanium skirts....

Double post

Well I'm stumped. I've got the complex hs part fine but only my chassis spins when I sit and spin so I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong. Is there an existing sns/complex hs hybrid that I can look at?
Yes drive only affects chassis through magical forces no matter where you put them.  So yes an axle or motor in the middle would pretty much stop the "SnS" part from doing anything.

why the hell are people discussing the difference between androids (sentient humanoid robots) and robots (any machine capable of movement and controlled by software) in a robot combat video.
Because they really wanted a 36 mace HS up their anus?

(assuming DDT wedges).
Nah, Snapper2 wedges. I'm gonna give them a try, they seem to be preferred by a few of the better builders around at the moment. More chassis weight, since it needs to be taller, but there's not much point in anything else for a popup if you can't get under your opponent.
You know there are virtually no difference between ddt wedge, snapper wedge, or even blue wedge.  If you replace the same bot with the 3 different burst at the same angle, then run them against each other, keeping a record each outcome, you will find out they are all roughly the same.

Oh okay, disregard everything i said (but the bot has top protection and a wider attack radius).
At what cost?  Lost of Invertibility from the side panel and slower acceleration/stability due to closer wheel base?

Edit:  The problem isn't that you are cloning bots, it is when you claim originality and improvement without fully grasping why the bot was the way it was in the first place.  I have reasons to not build all my bots with battery box chassis you know.  I suggest downloading NAR AI v1.1 and focus on building something different, instead of taking other people's bot and just make the chassis smaller.  You might find this game much more enjoyable too.
The bot's invertible.
You didn't hack the chassis height "after" you mount that half sheet, did you?  Because half sheet kinna force a minimum height of 0.406107, and the lowest height for multi-extender to mount a side panel at this height is 0.3.  You could of course raised the motor by 0.05 but that would cause other complications.

Unrealistic because razor cuts through wheels, but you can easily change the motor position to have the wheels pointing out on the 2 sides.
