Custom Components Showcase / Re: Pay Tribute With Replicas
« on: November 16, 2014, 02:12:16 PM »
Just found that out after I sent the text. Now I'm trying to import my own custom Profile avatar from the upload, but it won't let me. :realmad( :vista:
Is it within the allowed dimensions and saved as a png, gif, or jpg?

Again, with the questions that are hard to understand.  Do you get how the components are moved using the X Y Z coordinats, as 123 and I both explained in great detail?

Yeah, assuming you have the labels right, there shouldn't be any complications to it.

The binding is called LittleMetalFriend and the file with the relevant info is Other.py

On topic, I tried this AI setup with the servo piston and it didn't move at all.

Does anyone know if there's a technical difference between the commands lefthook and righthook?

So how did you make this exactly ? just a whipper.py + spinner.py ?

i would have added a Frenzy.py to Omni but just my imput. Good work anyways, i've wanted to enter a mortis-like bot to an IRL tourney for a while.
What exactly would you copy/paste to make that happen?  If it's a simple matter of copying some lines of code between documents, I'll have a go at it.

Gonna be so sweet. Heard Resetti's putting something together for this year, is it true?
he's paying me to build him one.

30lb is going to be great. 10 high KE bots and 1 'thing'
. Is your friend going to build another cardboard bot?

The wheel GMF's are what you need to replace.  You can do that or re-wire each one, which I recommend

Glad to see that walkerbots will finally get the attention they deserve in this totally real beta of RA3

The AU's and above got an advance copy.  There was a whole lot paperwork we had to fill out and a ton of non-disclosure agreements, but it's awesome.

Sweet! How many different things can the weapon do?

A more helpful undertaking would be to create an AI that allows for Mortis' setup - a terrorhurtz/frenzy style hammer and a burst-flipper on the same robot.  That has more tangential uses than a Mortis Shell.  I think I recall Joeblo saying he was working on one such AI binding but lost it when his computer died.

Python22.dll is a file that randomly disappears sometimes.  Grab a new copy from the zip file in that main RA2 folder.

Where did those extra 25 backers come from in such a short time?
Grant Imahara tweeted about it - I'd wager most people found it through him.

Holy !£^%, 1.8 million to do basicaly the same thing as that cancerous trainwreck Robot Combat League??? Is it getting a little hot in here, Icarus?

Seriously though, I hope people support robogames, it's not just a fighting event, it's a community outreach program.

What's even the point in making Mortis if you can't replicate that bullet-speed tanto blade?

There is no "bot file editor" you can just use Notepad++

Ok coll that makes sense, sometimes I can't figure out what you actually want to do.  You just have to find the burst in the styles menu an make a new copy of it in the main components folder.  Since youre not changing the skin you don't need to make a new gmf file.
