Why can't you just wait until you've got your comp back? Or clone them on the other one?

Issues at home got his regular computer taken off of him (I think), so he's using a backup computer, but it doesn't have everything that the regular comp does.
In essence, he's suggesting that some of the entrants that fairly won their first round matches should be kicked out of the tournament because he doesn't have them on the backup computer. Which I think is a ridiculous idea, you can't punish someone for something that is in no way their fault. 6344

It's not fair on the other competitors to be kicked out because of something that's entirely out of their control. 6345

Isn't that going to screw up the result? I'd prefer to keep the brackets as they are, personally, rather than giving the losing bot a free pass because of something out of anyone's control bar yours...

If the bot is received, then that means the entrant was happy enough for it to take part. If the only problem is havoking in a certain manner, and it's been established that the problem is the size of the chassis, then they should be allowed to use what weight they have left to enlarge the chassis only. All the other components must remain the same, I think that's a pretty fair ruling on it. 6347

Looks pretty good. I'd consider switching the Weapon and Drive motors around, unless it's to act as a pinner.

I'm perfectly fine with him trying to expand the chassis to avoid it.

Stock Showcases / Re: J's Bots« on: June 07, 2011, 06:54:50 PM »Ramplates wont work. I forgot to mention this, but because the DDTs are mounted on Snappers, they tend to "bounce" and occasionally pop out from behind the ramplate. So a snowplow might work better.Try mounting the Snapper2 on its side rather than its back. The plane of rotation won't conflict with the bot's plane of normal movement, so they shouldn't wobble quite so much. Then you'd be able to stick two ramplates on the front. =] 6351

Now that thing looks badass. I like. =] If you wanted, you could attach a 20cm CF extender to the central AP of each disc, just to offer some degree of protection.

JODF's position in the final four depends entirely on whether the havok gets fixed. If it doesn't, it could throw the whole tournament up in the air. I don't have any doubt that it won't be, though, it is simple enough to do. =]

I'm certainly not against it. I can't see how it would drastically affect any of the entrants thus far, aside from SKBT's jaws actually working.

Lose the mohawk, and maybe lose the iron tail as well. The frontal protection probably won't hold up too well against HS's, you should have two ramplates on the edges of the front.
