I think it might be the torque of the motors and the free-rotating axle. Since there'll be less force rotating the spinners in one direction due to the reduced mass of being unbalanced, the motor combination'll be turning due to the force of the other motor, and the axle won't be providing any resistance to stop it.

HW is awesomeness in a box. I think the MW might work if the axle was pointing horizontal instead of vertical like it is now, that might help the wierd weapon stopping phenomena.

Looks like a pretty good setup, I reckon. I'll try that extender setup at some point. Minimizer looks awesome as well, is it a HS/Popup hybrid? 6250

If the pause button was used to go into the match, then robots with SnapperIIs, DDT's, or maybe even axles, would have their alignment completely screwed up, and they'd spaz out at the start of the match.

Yeah, I thought they were attached to the secret AP, but that's the baseplate mounting.

Real Robotics Discussion / Re: Debate Thread: UK Style Flippers vs American Style Flippers« on: June 12, 2011, 11:29:57 AM »
I'm going for the UK style. I think it does look a lot sleeker and has a lot more coverage than the US versions, which seem to be far too boxy for my liking. It would be easier to kick the opponent up in the air, but you'd need a lot more pressure for the same amount of force that the UK versions exert on the opponent, if it's something like Explosion, with the ram closer to the hinge, than T-Minus, which has its ram further away from the hinge.

You could get away with one SnapperII for this, but you'd need Static RAD drive. And then you'd have to do something to avoid it turning into a Fury klone.

I thought it was an axle with a chassis that tight. Very nice placement of everything, though, I'm just thinking it could be a little bit more protected. I'm guessing it might havok quite a lot as well, but the static drive would help prevent that somewhat.

I did listen to some Dream Theater last night, and there was a lot of obscure time changes, it was really hard to distinguish a rhythm from it. Electric Eye is definitely easier to listen to, and easier to find a rhythm.I personally like DT's time changes, as a rabid prog fan (wait, you like Rush, right?), but I just felt that Panic Attack was a generally worse song. 6257
