ooh im glad you mentioned that because the flipper that i built actually is a hybrid in the sense that i have two spinning sawblades up on the wedge. they don't do all that much damage but i think they're kinda nifty and it didn't take up much more that like 30lbs of weight

something id really like to see in the next dsl is some item skinning options. by that i mean for items that are very frequently used and make up a large portion of the visual aspects of a robot (such as the spinner panels and disks, skirt panels, extenders and armor plates) it would be nice if they could add to the drop down menu a few different colors for these items so every robot using them doesn't look the same. this would add a lot of variety to the bots that are made and would require very little actual work to do. another thing id like to see is more types of disks (as far as the ones you'd find in the extender section) since there's only so many options and as such a commonly used item it'd be awesome to have some visual variation with them. maybe even some additional tri-bars (maybe a quad-bar? a quin-bar? maybe a flat tri-bar as opposed to the tri-bar that comes down at an angle from the apex? there are so many shapes and sizes that could be added to keep all of our spinners from looking the same. the more the better! c'mon, let's see it!) think that this could be done? itd be much appreciated! thanks

i could swear i saw one the other day that used wheels. they were the orange bmx bike looking wheels and it the weapon was a vlad spike. looked like it worked pretty damned well too

could someone give me some ideas? every time i have an idea i get to the chassis build screen and just blank. something different. no heavyweights. a challenge is alright.
built a lightweight shell spinner that was lost when one of my handful of non working logos crashed it before i remembered to save. made a middleweight flipper that's pretty effective but in very unhappy with how it looks aesthetically. aesthetics are very, very important to me. made a few beetles that need some work too. ill post something as soon as im happy with it
my next build is going to be a beetle hammer i think but from there im taking suggestions
also whats the best drive as far as speed is concerned per weight class and whats the best spinner motor and flipper per weight class. ranked if possible. i find i have a lot of trouble getting the right motors for the job and it stops me in my tracks a lot because it makes it very hard to build my chassis accordingly

i was wondering where some of these extenders ive never seen before came from. is there an all inclusive download for dsl 3 like there is for dsl 2? like, including the original game and running without the disk w/ everything dsl already installed? just install and go?
i didnt even realize im playing an old version. i'm all about fun with extenders, i totally want this.

sort of. but those are powered. the bot i was thinking about had the hammer attached directly to the chassis and moved in a toe-crusher or overkill like manner, stopping completely and letting the bot itself flip forward to power the hammer.
also call me stupid but i dont know/remember what a bfe is

speaking of thats actually what ive been looking all around the bot showcases for someone made a toe crusher type bot with a vlad poker i saw the other day and i was trying to so something similar with a beetle but i couldnt get it to flip over and i remember that was a big no-go for a long time so i was wondering how that was done so i could pester about it so many things i dont know so so many things

I got a 2-hour late start for school today. This is how I used that time: (Image removed from quote.) Armor is Plastic 1. There are three ants and nothing is attached to the farthest shell panel. Avocados are poisonous to parrots.
Guys I did it. I made an antweight shell spinner. Probably not the first, but I made one. It doesn't have a name, though.
ADVANTAGES: +The sheer fact that its an antweight shell spinner.
DISADVANTAGES: -Everything else (poor armor, only two weapons, crappy steering, etc.)
Thoughts?
