i bet the 12 kgs you spent on putting the drive in would be more then just putting them in a bigger chassis.

DSL TC Showcases / Sage's Showcase« on: October 15, 2008, 04:09:47 PM »![]() new version of Pinball inspired by H@zm47's falcon punch. 4 orange batts :] Improvements: (from old pinball) Invertible bars are segmented (dunno if thats a good thing) lower ground clearance seems to spin even faster 6105

I just copied the Binding of 360 Arc Pounder and modified a few values. It works fine. You're right about spin speed though, it could be faster after just seeing Pinball fight (Did you seriously fit 4 orange batts in there? I don't think I can manage that and keep FP invertible...). yea 4 orange batts. im thinking i could modify it to be invertible. ima go try after i record the loser bracket matches... EDIT: FRAPS, the game recorder, slows down the speed of the match. Pinball is spinning a lot faster then that. 6106

funny story... we were talking about if this kind of bot was possible, and i actually came up with this setup and built it. however, Inf claimed to have came up with the setup the night before, and we decided he could post it has his bot. (also because his had less empty chassis space, although it didn't matter in the weight calculations.)

its random if they are the same. but its still only one perfect robot. theres nothing special about it fighting itself, because that doesnt matter if its the same.

hey guys... looking at ACAMS complaints about tournament length, he seems really against losers brackets. i dont know if i should do them....
and if i do, should i do that next or finish the winners bracket? 6114

Round 2 Bracket 2 is UP!
I'm sorry if some of the previous matches had some issues (Psi vs steel meatball, Destroyer vs Mako) but it would be unfair to the winner if i restarted the whole thing and they lost, even if it was unfair to the loser in the first place. If it really was something in the AI or otherwise, you'll probably fight them again anyways. Now that that's outta the way, go check up on the new vids! 6116

when you put a picture up, at least crop it so we only see the bot. we dont need to see your whole workshop.

Hmm. good idea. however, it may not LOOK underpowered, but i bet it doesnt spin NEARLY as fast as with 4 orange batts, and thats also why you cant get it to spin like pinball. Unless you mean it doesnt spin at all, in which case you programmed it wrong. If using 'Pillar.py', make sure you have a 'Spin' control as a button.

YAY. people use my maces. ((nice bot, too.) you have a little empty space by the snapper2, but i dont see how that can be fixed, considering RA2's chassis limitations.)
