That would be good. Problem is. My mum could only get us to events that she can get to AKA within a minimum of 2 hours from Northampton
Also Whitwhick would be easy for us to reach

As long as you are not as bad as the Team Death on Robot Wars, you'll be OK.

I use Cordless Drill motors. Trevor Wright said that my robot will scoot along the arena floor, like a pondskater on water.
Well I don't like them, this is much a matter of oppinion however
May I suggest this for a very simple but effective design: (Image removed from quote.) This is just an example of how simple your robot should be
Ive saved that picture mate, it will be used when i get working on it. Thanks for the advice guys, im keeping notes on this

Thanks for the advice SKBT
When i get started. I'll keep these written down.
I also had a plan for "Mini Merlin" but it would be rather difficult to keep to the weight limit

Yep thats me... my team. It consists of me, when the bots are built. I'll of course be team captain, driver and bot designer. My mother, transportation and constantly nagging me, and my stepdad.... a couple of friends might join me too. My current plan is to build a featherweight. It will be modified from an RC car i have. Im planning to remove the top. and replace it with some aluminium.... or maybe steel. Take off the bumper on the front and replace it with a scoop. Also it will have a rollcage Here is the current sketch i did a few months ago http://s1131.photobucket.com/albums/m558/TheycallmeMrVEVO/?action=view¤t=drawings001.jpgSo.... there you have it
