Tournament Archives / Best of Both Worlds.
« on: January 16, 2014, 07:05:44 PM »

There are 16 entries but 2 bots required per person.
One of these will be IRL and the other Standard.
This is a DSL2.1 tournament.
Each round will go like this:
2 Entrants are selected by randomisation.
Both their respective IRL and Standard bots will fight.
1 point for a loss, 3 points for a win.
If its a overall draw it will go to a team battle with the Standard and IRL in the arena.
Who ever wins will move forward.

Standard Building rules.
No Cheatbot, No BFE, AAM, Thyrus Glitch, ZeroG, Text Editing or any other out-of-game modification.  Bots MUST show controlled movement. No Hax Mode or staking.
  No Shufflers, Walkers or Crawlers.
  Middleweight.

IRL Building rules.
  Cheatbot components -
    All wheels.
All Judge components - Gravel only 1 Burst.
  Bots MUST show controlled movement.
No BFE, AAM, Thyrus Glitch, ZeroG, Text Editing or any other out-of-game modification.  Bots MUST show controlled movement. No Hax Mode or staking.
  No Shufflers, Walkers or Crawlers.
  Middleweight.

Both bots need to be receved to be enterd. If only one is sent and all spots are filled that is your problem, you have been warned.

My entrys are yet to come.

I am hoping to start this tornament late May early June as I will have exams before hand.

Both bots received.
One or both bots have problems.
Both accepted AIed and splash done.

Vote will go up late May.

Craaig, your bot crashes my game. I don't exactly know why, but it crashes when trying to test it in the test arena or when in exhibition mode. I'm guessing because of the chassis size, but I can't get it to work.
To get it to work turn your graphics to high. Use any bots for an exhibition match. When finished set your graphics to low then quit imedatly. start the game up DO NOT change your graphics then the bot should work.

So while AIing I tried to AI a wedge and wll for some reason it just turns away and runs. The Forward heading is in the right direction and this is the line of text in the bindings.
list.append(("Mass Wedgie","Omni",{'invertible':True,'range':50,'radius':1,'topspeed':150,'throttle':100,'turn':100,'turnspeed':3.2,'weapons':(12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19)}))
and a picture of said robot.

Any help would be appreciated.
