No.  A titanium half sheet stops it from flipping forward.  It's just weak, i think.

New bot.  it's a MW.

3mm titanium
7 ants

It fails as far as I'm concerned.  Any way to improve it?

mebbe we can help the guy who made the game?

no source code = no game

It would be really hard to start from scratch.

...kinda upsets me too 'cause this is such a fun game.

Okay.  NAR AI is tough.  I can honestly say that.  Gotta remodel my bot, a little...or make a different one.

This is hillarious!  I'd really be afraid to fight it though 'cause it has a lot of weapons and it's CRAZY!  :P

Here the first bot I made in LDD.

Hazard

I'm still trying to build Maniac Manta, but it proves difficult because I don't know what to use for the skirts on my bot.

About the length of a 20cm extender from the ground to the lowest point of one of the hammers.  I've been destroying almost all of the DSL HWs with it at that height even though I'd like to extend the weapon a little.

Nope.  Didn't work.  The hammer is going straight through the middle of the chassis.

Ant saw = absolutely worthless.

Idk.  It looked cool, but yes it's quite worthless.  taking it off the robot...now.

Oh yeah, I kinda forgot. Your weapon bar should be a notch longer so it's closer to the ground and can dish out bigger hits. You'll probably get the weight from the ant saw and the 3 shell panels. :D

If I do that, I don't think it'll be realistic b/c the hammer would be going through a batt.

this is what I have now.  my computer had a minor setback and I forgot to save my bot before it half died on me.  -.- I had to rebuild the whole bot.  Didn't really take that long though.

it's all good now.

EDIT: Btw, everybody, thanks for all the constructive criticism and compliments. :)

Okay.  Having taken all of that advice into consideration, I came up with this

Important updates:
*10mm plastic armor
*doubled up the rear plates
*added a plate to the extender holding the dual perm
*added castor armor
*DSL bars on flipper segments for stability

the only reason i picked the skirts over DSL Bars was because of mostly the difference in durability (hitpoints).  but, okay. i'll look into fixing that and adding more supports.

funny thing.  I just made the chassis cube shaped! Pwn told me to shrink the chassis, so, I did.

other important changes include those 60cm side panels in the back and the armor which is now 10mm steel
Btw, it's still realistic.
i'll see if i can make it a MW for CC3.  i'm gonna have to scale it down a bit though.

Wow!  Almost the same bot!  How did I do that?  I didn't even see that picture until now.  Guess I gotta be a bit more original. :P

@Nary: Yes.  It's realistic. The weapon doesn't pass through batts

recent battle.

don't worry Nary, I have been checking out other showcases.

Here's an update of my bot

3mm plastic
dual perm
techno wheels
5 ant batts
a bit more realistic

EDIT: @Triton: What do you mean by a "Destroyer type system"?

do you mean how do you run starcore after downloading it?

If so, do this
1. go to C://Program Files/Infogrames.  There you will find the RA2 folder.
2. copy and paste the RA2 folder in the Infogrames folder and rename the folder something like Starcorev3.0, or whatever you wanna call it.  You should now have two folders named Robot Arena 2 and Starcorev3.0.
3. extract the files from the starcore .rar file that you downloaded onto your desktop for easy access.  If you don't have WinRar, download it from the GTM front page.
4. cut and paste those files and such into your Starcorev3.0 folder.  When it asks you if you want to overwrite files, click "Yes to all".  Now your program folder should be set up.
5. finally, copy the RA2 Application icon from the Starcorev3.0 folder onto your desktop, once again, for easy access.
6. Double-click the icon on your desktop and have fun playing Starcore.  ;)

If you have any questions or concerns about this or if I need to explain something better, just ask.

Btw, what is your operating system   (just read that now...)
