Thanks guys.

There's actually not any 'animations'. It's all just working through the physics system.

Thanks guys.

That was me though.

I couldn't get on to my real name for some reason.

Yeah, it was hilarious for me.

I've got a server open right now. I'll be at my computer for a while.

Saturday sounds good. I don't have many bots right now though.

Thanks guys! I did some building last night... Trying to get a decent lightweight built. I think I'm going to showcase a few later tonight.

I was never too good at light-weights. It's hard for me to get a hard hitting VS that light lol
I'm definitely not short on ideas. I just have to get caught back up on which weapons and wheels are statistically best, etc.

I still use bastardizations of Mako wedges, by the way. Others seem to have deemed them obsolete.

Good! I'm happy to know someone kept them alive haha. What's widely considered the best wedge these days?

Right on. I'm checking out your showcase right now. Good stuff!

I've got to see what you guys have been building. I'm sure I've fallen behind a whole lot haha

I'm skimming through my huge screenshots folder... some pictures of my designs, some action shots, and even a bunch of multiplayer pics from the old hamachi servers.

Hey! Good to see some familiar names.

I don't remember being particularly vulgar lol. Did people start spamming it or something?

I just found my old installation with all my stuff. I'm going to do some building to see if I can get anything worthy of being in one of those tournaments

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I think I have all my old bots and any pics I took. I'm digging around in my old hard drive right now. If there was a DSL tournament looking for entries that would give me motivation to get back 'into' the game and do some serious bot building.

The skin is fine. Don't feel like you have to change it just because a few people are complaining.

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Most rEtArDeD show ever?

Id probably have to say any recent show from Cartoon Network/Disney/Nick. And all those lame reality shows coming out about the same stuff. And some reality shows just suck(I'm looking at you Whale Wars).

I have to disagree with you on that. Whale Wars does get boring some times, but I find it very interesting. I think it is interesting to watch a captain who is very charismatic and obviously insane lead impressionable college kids to do just about anything he says.

Kind of how just about anyone gets a kick out of watching Charles Manson, even if you don't agree with what he does.
Case in point -

Just to set the record straight.

-This is his latest PM.
""Ya know, WTF, you said you'd help me, so I though, cool, THE jules will help me with my VS. But no, you pull a move like that, totaly retarded. I should'nt have invited you back, I had hope in you not being a douch.""

-This was my reply
""First, I didn't even receive your invite back because I haven't used that Email address in ages. But, either way, thank you for the invite back.

Second, this is exactly the type of behavior which has caused me to second guess helping you out.

If you had sent me your bots with a message telling me that you are trying to improve your behavior, I would have helped you without thinking twice.""

Even now, If you start acting respectful and normal, I would still be willing to help you.

A.) I never said I was helping you "secretly".
B.) After actually seeing the way you behave on the forums, I don't want to help you at all.

I tried to build a full body VS with tri-bars in the past. I had to use servos for drive motors to prevent the AGOD if I remember correctly.

If you could build an effective one, that would be very cool.

I can't seem to build a VS that negates H-Spinners consistently. (that was the whole point of Mako and DOAM)

Sadly, If I can't build one that I think can win, I won't be entering.

General Support / Alt-Tab Woes
« on: March 18, 2010, 03:11:14 PM »
I guess it is know by most that using Alt-Tab in RA2 often causes glitches. This has become an even bigger pain for me because I use dual monitors and want to be able to scroll through videos, etc. without crashing or glitching the game.
Today it was causing me a lot of grief while trying to play through Hamachi.

Anyone been able to avoid this?
Should I play Full Screen or Windowed mode?
Also, I am on vista if that makes a difference.
