Honestly Discord has eventually made this place redundant for everything outside of tournament records/vids and filehosting, but this place acts as a repository for pretty much the whole of RA2 history and shouldn't be dispensed with if it can be avoided.
I don't think anyone wants to delete the forum. more so just put a freeze on posting outside of the rr2 section
That doesn't make any sense. There's still value in hosting RA2 tournaments here and people still might want a permanent place to post any bots they build. The showcase section still sees some activity. I guess you could go ahead and shut down the off topic section since I don't see why anyone would sh**post on a forum now that Discord exists.

Outside of nostalgia? Nah, but my nostalgia is a pretty strong motivator, so I do care.

If it's any consolation, I have no idea who you are.
Same for you, although I like your avatar! xP
I'm merely a relic from the past who comes back to haunt this place from time to time. It amazes and sickens me to know that I've been a part of this online community for 18 or so years.
Hey, I remember you. You were cool, but also kind of a dick.

So chassis weight is calculated by surface area. If you make more of a square chassis with the drive motors on either side of the battery and snapper you should gain a bit more weight to play with. You can maybe attach the HPZ without an extender using the back attachment point.
Try this amd see if you can get DSA again.

Man some of these are really oldschool. Those popup designs look quaint now.

Are you guys ready to hand Meganerdbomb the reins of absolute power now?
no
I'll keep waiting. Some day, you will have no other choice.

1st hard drive down, found some archived tourny pics/compilations and Luigicas/eFFe/inF splashes. also found some of his .bot files...No luck for any of my stuff so far. What do you guys use to share images now? Look like most of my stuff disappeared online
yeah man I lost a ton of stuff when upurs finally went down a few years back. I think most places, including here have their own image sharing feature now though. Otherwise, imgur still exists.

Happy 10th anniversary, me.
This place shaped me a lot in my early years of highschool, and I'm incredibly thankful for the time spent here. Most of the 2010-2014 lot have moved on and honestly I don't blame them, though I do miss them and think of them from time to time. They put up with me when I was an attention starved kid, and I wish them well wherever they are.
I've had a blast with this game and with this community. Thank you all for being who you are, and continue to be. Maybe I'll be seeing people at live shows in the UK again soon once I start winding my competitive osu! career down.
Here, have an improved White Blob, the most memorable robot I made:

Two blacks, 4x HPZ drive, as airtight as a DSA chassis gets whilst still having enough space for stacks. Not tested the wedge against anything, just built it because I'm feeling nostalgic for times long gone.
Bot exchange download
Wishing everyone the best.
Nice bot dude.

They're pretty generic, but that's probably a good thing, it shows you have the fundamentals down, and it looks like you actually might have built them using glitches which is a plus. I think the way you have the first one built is indeed better, esspecially for tying to take on wide popups.

Hey, that's really nice. Good job.
Thanks! I admit I have no clue on how to make splashes or custom paintjobs, so I'm sorry if it looks really basic by your standards
just throw some ass and titties on there. That's all I ever did.

I don't know what it means, but I'm apparently this: [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
it means you don't spend enough time on woke twitter
also politicalcompass is ass, real enlightened youtube scientists use 8/9values or smthing
8values is jreg approved

For a heavyweight, you'll generally want two stacked black batteries. You can use ra2cf to do that if you can't do it normally. I dont think anyone cares anymore. Try to learn how do do some of the other glitches legit though, like snapper loading. It will help you a lot with understanding what kind of stacking is and isn't allowed, and it will really improve your building. Make the chassis wedge longer so it isn't as steep and you'll be able to get under bots better. Once you stack the black batteries, delete the pinks and swap the snapper motors for the bigger burst motors. You'll need them if you want to hit hard enough to do real damage. Once you learn snapper loading and the Effe glitch, you'll probably be able to get more razors on there too.
